See Jenna Bush Hager's Throwback Photos of When She Toured the White House with the Obama Girls

Jenna Bush Hager recently shared some really great throwback photos from her time as a first daughter at the White House. The images showed her giving the Obama daughters a tour of their new home a couple of years ago.

On Tuesday, Jenna Bush Hager, 38, took to Instagram to share some iconic throwback photos. She shared three images from 12 years ago, in 2008, at the White House when her father, George W. Bush, who congratulated Bill Clinton in 1992 in a letter for his presidential win, was still president.

At the time, Barack and Michelle Obama were set to become the country’s first Black couple to be in power. They were going to fulfill their post with their two young daughters by their side.

In the images, Hager was pictured as she gave Malia and Sasha Obama a tour around the White House. It was the first time that the little girls, who are now young women aged 22 and 19 respectively, got to see the presidential building in such an intimate way.

In the first image, the “Today with Hoda & Jenna” co-host was seen smiling as she stood with the little girls on the White House balcony. Little Sasha appeared to be gesturing towards the lawn in the photo that was taken at night.

The next image featured Hager’s twin sister, Barbara Bush, and their mother and former first lady Laura Bush. The co-host stood next to her sister who knelt down at the top of a hallway with their mother.

Malia stood on one side of the banister as she prepared to slide down. Sasha was photographed without shoes enjoying herself as she slid down the hallway as the others looked on.

The last throwback photo showed Sasha standing at the bottom of the hallway and Sasha stood on the side looking up. The Bush’s were still at the top of the hallway enjoying the shared moment.

In the caption of the post, Hager revealed how she’d driven from her teaching job in Baltimore to meet her sister and mother at the house. The trio worked together to show the upcoming new residents of the White House around.

The television personality also shared how she and her sister had taught the Obama girls “all the secrets of the White House” that they loved. They showed the young girls the movie theater, the best hiding spots, and the bowling alley.

Malia and Sasha also got to see Hager and her sister’s rooms, which were going to be their own soon. The co-host concluded her note by sharing her nostalgia for the time she was a teacher and wore outfits that seemed to go with the profession.

The years have since quickly passed by and the Obama siblings are now both college students. Malia is studying at Harvard University while her younger sister is at the University of Michigan.

In September 2020, Hager was a guest on “Just the Sip” where she revealed she was proud of the Obama sisters. She explained that her pride in them was for how they never stopped being themselves, even with the fame.
