Simone Smith has always killed it in the fashion department. The jewelry designer knows how to put together a look to make her stand out in any crowd.

In a recent post, the beauty shared a photo of herself looking stunning in freshly done, golden braids. Her braids were long and swept to one side to show off her radiant skin and the star of the show - her silver hooped earrings.

Simone looked fashionable in a faded gray denim jacket. Her makeup was subtle, using shades of gold and a soft pink lip, which showed off the star's youthful face. The post was captioned:

"Introducing Simone I. Smith for Brilliant Earth! You all know that I love my BIG HOOPS, but some of my girls love small hoops, so I didn’t forget about ya’ll. I created something cute, classy, and sassy just for you."

The hooped earrings in question are part of a collaboration between Simone and "Brilliant Earth," with a percentage of the proceeds going towards the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

This is not the first time that Simone has designed jewelry to serve a higher purpose. The star launched her jewelry line in 2011 and has since collaborated with other companies to raise funds for purposes close to her heart.

Notably, Simone works with the American Cancer Society which receives a portion of all proceeds from her jewelry line, Simone I. Smith Jewelry. This collaboration is very dear to Simone since she, herself, is a cancer survivor.

In 2004, Simone was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. The star underwent a 15-hour surgery which was followed by a two year recovery period.

In that time, her husband, LL Cool J, whose government name is James Todd Smith, stood by her and comforted her during the healing process.

The experience brought the married couple closer together and inspired them to help other people with similar fates. The duo started the campaign "Beat Cancer Like a Boss," which seeks to inspire other cancer patients and survivors to keep fighting.

The power couple has been through it all. LL Cool J and his wife, Simone, met in the '80s, and the two fell in love. In 1995, after dating for eight years, the couple finally tied the knot. They share four children and two grandchildren, although the marriage did not start off on the right foot.

When the rapper released the music video for his song "Doin It," Simone was not pleased with the sexual nature of the video, which featured an actress licking his face. She didn't talk to him for two weeks, and he eventually understood and toned down his future music videos.

LL Cool J and Simone are the picture-perfect couple goal boasting a successful 25-year marriage. However, the same can not be said of the actor's "NCIS: LA" character, Agent Sam Hanna, whose love life is still uncertain.
