Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Rarely Star in Movies Together — Couple Explains the Reason

Actress Goldie Hawn and her longtime partner Kurt Russell recently sat down for an interview with the New York Times, during which they opened up about why they never act together.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been in a relationship for over thirty years, but they have not appeared in a movie together since 1987 when "Overboard" was released. Now, the couple is opening up about why they rarely appear in films together.

During an interview with the New York Times, American actor Russell noted that he and wife Hawn are choosy people, which hinders them from working together most of the time.

The actor explained that movies he would appear in are quite different from those Hawn would act in. Hence they do not appear alongside each other in films. Russell concluded by noting that they do not need to have many movies together simply because they are in love and live together.

In 2018, Hawn played a small role as Mrs. Claus in Russell's Netflix holiday film, "The Christmas Chronicles." This was the first time in over thirty years that the couple appeared alongside each other in a movie.

Now the couple is back in full force for the comedy, "The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two," which premieres on Netflix on November 25, 2020. When asked what it was like working together, Hawn and Russell explained that they did what was required of them at work but did not allow it to affect their personal lives.

Actress Hawn added that they had a makeup trailer to themselves and were always right next to each other while filming the movie. She also described the experience as fun.

Whether it is in real life or on-screen, Russell and Hawn seem to have a certain magic that keeps them attached, and there is no denying that these two share great chemistry.

Twelve years later, Russell and Hawn met again, and it was still not an impressive meeting. The actor admitted that he was terribly hungover when they met again. Russell explained that he was recently divorced and was not looking for a relationship when he met Hawn.

However, over time, Russell fell in love with Hawn, and they soon started dating. Even though they never got married, there is no denying that they are happy together, and theirs is a beautiful love story.
