Its often said that the apple does not fall far from the tree and the same is true for former Miami Heat player, Dwyane Wade and his son, Zaire Wade.

As Zaire continues to grow, he is beginning to take on a strong likeness to his father, sharing with him the most distinct facial features as well as his talent on the court.

In a recent video shared on Wade's Instagram story, the father and son duo could be seen sitting outside on a roadside table, having drinks together with a Ford Bronco parked in the background. The post was captioned "Chilling with my Yng!"

Wade rocked a cream hooded sweater with a white cap over his head. Zaire was dressed in a black T-shirt and had posed holding up the peace sign.

Wade has been enjoying having his son back home. Zaire was in New Hampshire where he is attending Brewster Academy for a post-graduate year before attending college.

The send-off was emotional for the NBA player, who expressed his sentiments in a heartfelt tribute to his son on Instagram. Wade said that he was proud of his firstborn's accomplishments. Stepmom, Gabrielle Union also wished Zaire well on his next journey.

BECOMING A BETTER PLAYER

The decision to transfer schools was a calculated one by the 18-year-old basketball player. After recovering from an ankle injury during his senior year, Zaire felt that he was not getting enough time on the court at Sierra Canyon High School in California.

He decided to move so that he would have the opportunity to solely focus on becoming a better player and demonstrate his skills on the court.

Zaire already has prospects for his college basketball career. In 2018, he received a scholarship to play for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, which coincidentally is Union's hometown.

THE WADE FAMILY

Wade has four children in total. The retired basketball player shares his two older kids, Zaire and Zaya, 13, with his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches.

The couple had a nasty divorce which began in 2007 and ended in a custody battle when the two failed to co-parent amicably. Wade was awarded full custody.
