Tiger Woods' Kids Sam and Charlie Are Growing up — See Them through the Years
Golf star Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren ended their marriage in an agitated way, but they’ve been co-parenting their two children over the years. The kids grew up in front of our eyes.
In 2010, after being married for over five years and having two children together, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren parted ways. Their split was dramatic because it was the result of a sex scandal the golfer was involved in.
As People reported, dozens of women spoke up and claimed that they had sexual encounters with the golfer. Woods eventually admitted to being unfaithful, and he and Nordegren had a very public divorce.

Although the ex-couple’s children, Sam and Charlie Woods, were very young when it all happened, it probably affected them. Fortunately, Woods and Nordegren have stayed in touch amid co-parenting throughout the years.
Sam, born in June 2007, has a very particular name. While some people might believe that it is short for Samantha or something similar, her name is just like that, Sam.
It reminds me so much of me and my dad growing up.”

Woods, his dad seldom called him Tiger. Instead, he’d always refer to him as Sam. The golfer once asked him about it, and his dad said, “Well, you look more like a Sam.”
Unlike her brother and father, Sam is not into golf. However, she really likes soccer, and Woods has been open about how much time he spends at soccer practices and games with her.

Nowadays, Sam is 13 years old and is almost as tall as her 5’11” mother. Her brother, Charlie, is 11 years old and more similar to his dad. He even played a tournament with him!
The father-and-son duo played at the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando. The three-day competition started on December 17, 2020, and the Woods' duo had their family by their side.
Born in February 2009, Charlie had a very productive year as he won two junior golf tournaments by five and three strokes. According to Woods, his son is “starting to get into it.” He added:
“I’ve kept it competitive with his par, so it’s been just an absolute blast to go out there and just be with him. It reminds me so much of me and my dad growing up.”
Woods, who admitted he wouldn’t force golf on Charlie, proudly said that the boy was starting to understand how to play and asking him the right questions, so he has a bright future ahead.
During the pandemic, Charlie and Sam split time between Woods and Nordegren's homes. Fortunately, the ex-couple are dedicated to raising their children in the best way possible.
