Christie Brinkley Works on Projects at Her Vacation Home as She Gets Busy Saving Planet Earth

Renowned model Christie Brinkley recently spent time at her vacation home working on an environmental project. She was joined by her daughter Sailor as they got busy with saving Earth.

Christie Brinkley is back to working to save planet Earth one tree at a time. Over the weekend, the renowned model gave fans a glimpse into the workings of her environmental project, The Thatch Palm Restoration Project.

Brinkley shared an eight-slide post on Instagram, showing off mother nature at her vacation home by the beach. The “Vegas Vacation” star was joined by her daughter Sailor and her boyfriend Ben Sosne as the trio planted Thatch Palm trees.

In the background of a clip showing Sailor in a red and white bikini piece taking in the rain with arms stretched while Sosne stood by a planted tree, Brinkley was heard rejoicing that rain fell on their project.

The mother-of-three disclosed that she recently underwent a hip replacement surgery.

Other photos in the slideshow include Sailor and Sosne transplanting some Thatch Palm trees, beautiful images of the plantations, and the blue ocean. In the caption, Brinkley updated fans about the project, writing:

“Three Palms saved today so far! They are an endangered species. It’s important to save the indigenous flora and fauna.”

She continued, explaining the indispensable role the Thatch Palm trees play in the ecosystem and the Caribbean. The 66-year-old has been vocal about the conservation project since ringing in the New Year.

Last week, the Sports Illustrated alum made jaws drop in a sizzling bikini piece as she gave a statement about climate change. She stunned in a polka dot bikini top paired with a red flared skirt with ruffles.

She posed by the beach with her arms happily in the air as she held a stick. In the caption, Brinkley referenced the Paris Accord and encouraged her followers to join hands to make the Earth more habitable.

Climate change isn’t the only topic Brinkley has been about this year. Days after New Year, the mother-of-three disclosed that she recently underwent a hip replacement surgery in an Instagram post.

Sharing photos of her new hip, Brinkley explained that after injuring herself in a country skiing helicopter crash in 1994, she was told she needed to replace her hip, but didn’t budge.

She thought the process was quite daunting and put it off for 12 years until the quarantine last year forced her to prioritize her health. Brinkley did the operation during Thanksgiving and recovered by New Year’s Eve.
