Model Paulina Porizkova is opening up about the one thing she regretted about her 3-decade long marriage to the late iconic singer Ric Ocasek. In a recent interview with UBS, the 55-year-old spoke about her financial misfortune in the union.
Porizkova, who dominated the ‘80s scene, didn’t sign a prenup with Ocasek and described herself as “stupid” for failing to do so. She noted that she met the late singer when she was just 19.

Although she was earning well on her own, the moment she and Ocasek wanted to tie the knot, she agreed that they pool their money together. The mother-of-two mentioned that even Ocasek suggested a prenup at the start.
When asked if she regrets not signing a prenup, Porizkova confessed, saying yes.
However, she disagreed, saying it wasn’t romantic. The “Her Alibi” star and Ocasek were married for 28 years until they announced their separation in 2018 and began undergoing divorce proceedings.

She noted that she was sharing the story of her painful process to enlighten other women about her naiveness and not to source for pity. According to reports, for Porizkova and Ocasek, it was love at first sight.
The former couple met on the set of the music video of Cars’ single, “Drive.” Before then, Porizkova already had a crush on the singer. They tied the knot in August 1989 in an intimate ceremony on the Caribbean island of St. Barts.
During the course of their marriage, the duo welcomed two sons. Their first son Jonathan was born in November 1993. Five years later, the second son Oliver, joined the brood in May 1998. Ocasek reportedlydied of heart disease
