Zooey Deschanel and Michael Bolton have signed up to host ABC's "The Celebrity Dating Game."

"New Girl" actress Zooey Deschanel and singer Michael Bolton have signed up to host ABC's new dating show, "The Celebrity Dating Game." The actress shared her excitement on Twitter.

The actress and the Singer have signed up to be a part of the 8-episode series. The show will feature contestants guessing who the secret celebrity is through clues and impressions given by Bolton.

Bolton has been known for his impressions as he went viral for his "Saturday Night Live" impression of Captain Jack Sparrow with The Lonely Island.

Deschanel shared the news and her excitement for the show on her Twitter alongside a promotional photo of herself and Bolton posing together. Her tweet read:

"So excited to announce that I'll be hosting #TheCelebrityDatingGame alongside@mbsings! It's the classic dating game you know and love."

In the tweet, she shared that she and Bolton will act as matchmakers and set up hopeful contestants. Deschanel shared that there will be surprise celebrity suitors.

The show takes a spin on the dating game show from the 1960s and 1970s. ABC had given it the go-ahead for one season. More might follow if it is successful.

Bolton has been very busy with his other show, "Asian Dream," which he filmed in Singapore.

Sony Pictures Television owns the rights for the dating game's format. Bolton will be an executive producer along with Charles Wachter, Christina Kline, and Wendi Wan.

The original game show, "The Dating Game," aired during the 60s and 70s and was created by Chuck Barris. It featured celebrities such as Sally Field and Ron Howard.

The series is set to film in Los Angeles. A premiere date has yet to be announced. With Deschanel and Bolton hosting, it will definitely be one to watch.

Bolton has been very busy with his other show, "Asian Dream," which he filmed in Singapore where he regularly visits. It aired in August 2020 on AXN.

The show features Bolton mentoring six contestants from around Asia as they sing their way to the top. The winner will perform with Bolton on his "Asian Dream" tour.

Deschanel is best known and loved for her role as the quirky and adorable teacher Jess on the sitcom "New Girl." The actress is in a few movies, including "Elf," "500 Days of Summer," and "Trolls."
