Nelly wore a brown polo shirt and dark gray chinos pants, while little Chanelle was clad in a black long-sleeved top which she wore over a purple top and matched with black sweatpants.

In the post's caption, the "Dilemma" crooner poured out his heart to his firstborn child and daughter as he expressed his love for her. He wrote

"My mini me..!! Happy Bday to my first born Daddy's girl.. love you to the moon ? and back..!! @_msvalentine ..!!"

The rapper's fans also joined him in wishing Chanelle a happy birthday, with many of them taking turns to wish her well and pray for her.

Chanelle is the first of Nelly's two children, who he shares with two women from previous relationships. His fans were introduced to her and her younger brother, Cornell III, in his reality television series, "Nellyville."

The rapper revealed that his kids supported his being part of the dance show.

They were also introduced to the rapper's niece, Sydney, and nephew, Shawn, his late sister, Jackie Donahue's two kids, who he raised as his own.

Donahue died of leukemia in 2005 at 31, four years after being diagnosed with the disease. She shared a close relationship with Nelly and was his stylist before her passing.

While Nelly's fans know about his brood, there is no information about Cornell and Chanelle's moms as their identities are kept private.

Nelly has raised his children to be upright. Fatherhood has taught him many lessons, and he shared one of those lessons in an interview with Nylon, saying patience is the biggest lesson he has learned from it.

Nelly recently competed in the last edition of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," where he managed to reach the competition's finals before losing out to the eventual winner, Kaitlyn Bristowe, and her pro dance partner, Artem Chigvintsev.

In an interview with ExtraTV during the show, Nelly and his dance partner, Daniella Karagach, spoke about one of their impressive performances

The rapper revealed that his kids supported his being part of the dance show, with Chanelle being his number one fan and cheerleader, while Cornell was more reserved with his support.
