The Virtual Anniversary Event on December 16 at 7PM

New York, NY (December 8, 2020) - The music industry’s leading non-profit organization, Women In Music will host their 35th anniversary celebration on Wednesday, December 16 at 7pm ET via zoom.

Women In Music's President, Nicole Barsalona mentions, “our growth this year is entirely due to our amazing global team of volunteers, who pour their heart and souls into working toward our shared vision of a more equitable industry.

"I am inspired every day, and feel so fortunate to work alongside some of the most dynamic and brilliant womxn in our business who will lead us into the future.”

Originally founded in 1985 the organization will celebrate 35 years in service to the music community to educate, empower and advance womxn in the industry.

The 35th Anniversary celebration will honor mental health and wellness, with an introduction by the Board of Directors, a Fireside Chat and Q&A with Shanti Das, a wellness workshop with the Co-Founders of Equilibrium, and networking breakout sessions hosted by WIM Chapter teams, from Atlanta to Japan.

The event will cap off a banner year for Women in Music, which produced record programming in 2020, hosting one to three virtual events per week since March to serve its members and the community. The organization also featured its most diverse programming to date, led by WIM’s Diversity & Inclusion Council.

In addition, Women In Music is the exclusive music partner for The Power Women Summit from December 8-10. Separately, Women in Music will present Passion to Profits virtual event on December 9, non-members can join today.
