It appears actress Meghan Markle is doing a lot of things her own way, and this time it is for a good cause as the Duchess of Sussex is skipping a baby shower for her unborn child for a perfect reason. Find out below what it is.

Meghan Markle decided not to have a baby shower ahead of the arrival of her baby girl as she is currently expecting her second child.

A source told Us Weekly that having a baby shower with gifts is not ideal right now for Markle. “There is too much strife in the world. She and Harry have been so involved with humanitarian issues, they both feel their time and resources can be used for a better purpose."

The source added Markle has the support of her friends and, more importantly, her husband, Prince Harry, 36. The insider explained the Duke is the ultimate partner who takes care of their son Archie and works to provide for his family.

Prince Harry and Markle announced in February that they are expecting baby No.2. At the time, a spokesperson for the Sussexes confirmed the news.

The spokesperson confirmed that Archie is going to be a big brother and that his parents are delighted to be expecting their second child together.

Markle and Prince Harry announced their pregnancy news with a beautiful black-and-white photo captured remotely via Ipad by photographer, Misan Harriman.

The image shows the Duke barefoot smiling as he gushed over at his wife, who lovingly cradled her baby bump while leaning against the Duke. Markle wore a flowing dress by Carolina Herrera.

The joyful news follows after Markle, 39, revealed that she had a miscarriage in July last year. She penned down her heartbreaking experience in New York Times essay on November 25, 2020.

As the family of three awaits their new addition to the family, royal expert Nick Bullen believes the new baby’s arrival will help bring the royal family together amid their recent drama.

Bullen shared the birth of a new baby is always a great unifier for a family, and all sides of the Sussex family will want to celebrate with the couple.

She further explained there is no doubt that Prince Harry and Markle will be jumping on a Zoom call to introduce the Queen to her 11th great-grandchild.

The duo welcomed their first child in May 2019. While awaiting Archie's arrival, Markle enjoyed a New York City baby shower with her A-List friends, including Serena Williams, among others.

The said intimate occasion took place at the Mark Hotel's penthouse, which was paid for by her best friend Williams. The star-studded guest list consisted of 15-20 guests.

The auspicious event was held at the Upper East Side of Manhattan on February 20, 2019. There were two planned baby showers for Archie at the time for her friends.
