“I would be just an absolute terrible doctor. I’m not good with…the fragility of the human body is just terrifying to me, you know, that it could all be (snaps) in a second,” Eggold told E! News.

Apart from anything that has to do with blood, the California native has good taste. He likes cheese and enjoys theatre, Tyler Labine stated back in 2018. “We went out for cheese after we went and saw a play.”

When coming to his love life, he told Daily Telegraph in November 2014: "I am an old man. I go for the quiet," and admitted that he does not handle attention too well while adding:

“I’d say I stumble over pick-up lines poorly. I’m not good at any of that. I’ve been a 90-year-old man since I was 12 years old. I’m not good with it, but I try to stay at least somewhat involved.”

As for his romantic relationships, there were rumors of him being linked to “The Blacklist” co-star Megan Boone for some time. However, the speculation was put to rest when Boone gave birth to her and fiancé Dan Estabrook’s child on April 20, 2016, per Daily Mail.
