Karol G Reunited with Anuel AA on Stage Only despite the Singer Immortalizing Her Face on His Back

After ending their engagement earlier this year, Latin artists Karol G and Anuel AA finally reunited. However, not in a romantic sense, but on stage during a performance.

Despite Anuel AA's serious decision to create a permanent symbol of his and Karol G's love, the couple has not rekindled their romantic relationship. However, they did excite fans when they reunited on stage together this month.

During Karol G's last performance of her Bichota Tour show in Puerto Rico, she was surprised by her former fiancé and frequent collaborator as he joined her on stage. They then performed their two hits songs, "Culpables" and "Secreto."

The occasion marked the first time the two performed together since their break up earlier this year and their 2019 Culpables tour. After the performance, Karol took to Instagram to share a few snaps of them backstage.

The musicians first met on the set of the music video for "Culpables" in August 2018. Later in January 2019, they confirmed they were dating. A few months later, in April 2019, the pair were engaged.

They made their first red carpet debut as an engaged couple at the 2019 Latin Billboard Awards, during which Anuel told Entertainment Tonight that there were "no words" to explain his happiness.

The couple continued to share their relationship with their fans. The music video for their second collaboration, "Secreto," featured home-video-style clips of their relationship and travels together.

The couple even immortalized their love for each other as they got matching tattoos of one another's names a few months into their relationship. Karol got "Emmanuel," and Anuel got "Carolina."

Anuel took the tattoos a step further when he got a large portrait tattoo of him and Karol on his back. He shared a glimpse of the back tattoo on QG's "Tattoo Tour" series on YouTube.

He said the tattoo was of his and his wife's faces from the first photo they took together. He explained that Karol thought he was joking when he told her about the tattoo as he got it when they first started dating.

Despite Anuel's large and permanent symbol of their love, the couple's relationship ended earlier this year. Both musicians took to Instagram to announce the news to fans.

In a series of Instagram Stories in Spanish, Karol wrote that their experiences and everything they had accomplished together were a blessing. She shared she was grateful for him, his family, and everything they did together.

During a since-deleted Instagram Live, Anuel revealed that they had broken up, and if people have seen them together, it was because they still loved each other. He added that the relationship ended on good terms.
