On May 14, 2022, Irish actor Pierce Brosnan uploaded a photo on Instagram from the "Black Adam" set that reminded his followers why he was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2001.

Best known for starring as James Bond in four movies of the Bond film franchise, Brosnan looked youthful in the image, even with his almost entirely silver beard and hair. His post got people wondering about Pierce Brosnan's age and his secret to looking ageless.

HOW OLD IS PIERCE BROSNAN?

Born in Ireland on May 16, 1953, the 69-year-old actor had a challenging upbringing. His father, Thomas, left the family household when Brosnan was an infant, so his mother, May, and grandparents, raised him in County Meath, Ireland.

May knew that she needed to do something drastic if she wanted to give her son a good life, so she moved to England to work as a nurse. She would only visit Brosnan once or twice a year, so the actor described his childhood as "solitary."

Things got even more complicated when Pierce Brosnan's grandparents died. He briefly lived with an aunt before moving in with an uncle. When they could no longer have him at their respective homes, he moved to the home of a woman named Eileen.

Brosnan shared a room with two of Eileen's lodgers – both grown men with jobs. When he was ten, May finally passed her finals and could take him to London with her. Still, May worked full-time, so Brosnan spent most of his time under a neighbor's care.

Before Smith, Brosnan was married to Australian actress Cassandra Harris. They walked down the aisle in 1980 and welcomed their only son together, Sean, three years later.

Brosnan also adopted Harris's two kids from her previous relationship, Charlotte and Christopher. Unfortunately, Harris died of cancer in December 1991. Charlotte also passed away of cancer in June 2013. Rest in peace.
