Anzie Jewelry is led by a powerhouse of women with different backgrounds. It began when Jaclyn's mother, Anzie, learned of her husband's colon cancer diagnosis. She and her daughters, Jaclyn and Joanna, founded the jewelry line to help raise funds for research and colorectal cancer awareness.

Their Lifesaver Bracelet launched them to success until they opened their own jewelry company in 1999. Fortunately, Jaclyn's father, Barry, beat cancer and became the president of Colorectal Cancer Canada.

“We all give our input in each area, but it's important to have distinct roles,” Jaclyn said of doing business with her family. “It's important to respect one another,” Anzie added.

Jaclyn is happily doing what she loves. She is continuously inspired by nature and people to make intricate pieces. She said:

“We are also inspired by the women that we know and the sentimental keepsakes that people want to wear and pass down to their children. Our jewelry is meaningful and the symbols, initials, and charms all have meaning behind them.”

Beyond her business, Jaclyn is a proud graduate of McGill University and obtained a degree in management. She was able to apply her knowledge while managing the family business.

Jaclyn's husband, Ariel, is an MMA reporter and became an ESPN journalist in 2018. However, following the end of his contract in 2021, he decided to leave the network.

“There's no hard feelings here,” he said. “ESPN did offer me a new contract.” However, Ariel had other plans for himself.

In 2022, Ariel announced that he and his wife became American citizens. “Canada will always be No.1 in my heart,” he said. “But after coming to this country 21 years ago with a dream - and many visas later - this feels pretty damn great.”
