The month of June was a busy one for Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee a few weeks after William celebrated his 40th birthday.

Prince William and his wife will both be 40 this year, and the new age has come with some changes. The royal couple will be moving into a new four-bedroom house in Berkshire this summer.

William and Middleton wanted to swap the royal mansions for a modest stand-alone home in Windsor. Additionally, the Cambridge family has chosen to be close to their families. Berkshire is where Middleton was born and raised and where her parents reside.

The Adelaide Cottage is also just a walk away from Windsor castle. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not just want to be closer to the Queen to visit often but to prepare for their new royal duties when William takes the throne.

The second in line will have to do more than his current responsibilities; Middleton will also need to take on and learn the duties of the future Queen of England.

The immediate change that will come with Middleton's new role is obviously her title; however, the difference will be that her name gets included. Currently, Middleton is referred to as the Duchess of Cambridge, but upon being crowned, it will change to Queen Catherine.

Another adjustment will be her job description. As the Duchess of Cambridge, her duties include working in support of The Queen in carrying out Royal duties both at home and overseas, according to Insider Magazine.

When William becomes king, he will become responsible for organizing and hosting these events, and Middleton will be his right hand or, in royal terms, "partner of the monarch."

WILLIAM AND KATE ARE THE FUTURE OF ENGLAND

The Queen is very much in favor of William and Middleton's marriage. According to Princess Diana's biographer, Andrew Morton, Queen Elizabeth sees the couple as the future of England and the ones who will bear the main burden of the crown.

After William was seen in London clubs with different girls, the Duchess felt humiliated and thought price William was "cheapening" her reputation.

Prince William is second to the throne, and his father, Prince Charles is the one next in line; however, the monarch says his reign will simply act as an "interregnum," like King Edward VII.

Queen Elizabeth is also pleased with Middleton as her grandson's spouse. Morton explained that the monarch was incredibly impressed with how the Duchess of Cambridge "loves and adores" William for who he is and not "for the title."

Astonishingly, William and Middleton are still going strong, considering that they started as college sweethearts but withstood the public scrutiny that came with being part of the royal family.

Some of the rocky moments between William and Middleton surfaced in 2007 when they briefly split. Although the Duke of Cambridge did not give much detail about their break up in the interview after they got engaged, reports by "Mail on Sunday" about what went down re-emerged.

At first, Prince William said they decided to call it quits because they needed "to find their way" and" grow- up." However, Royal correspondents Laura Collins, Katie Nicholl, and Ian Gallagher explained that William ended the relationship with his long-time girlfriend because the "fun" had disappeared.

According to the reports, Middleton had always believed she would marry William and was deeply sad about the split. After William was seen in London clubs with different girls, the Duchess felt humiliated and thought Prince William was "cheapening" her reputation.

Further down the line, media reports indicated that the princess fairy-tale wedding of Middleton and William had the Duchess of Cambridge in tears a few days before. The media had found out that Alexandra McQueen would be the one designing the royal dress.

However, Middleton was distraught because she had done all she could to keep her dress a secret. But alas, the wedding ceremony was still as perfect as can be, and the traditional yet modern dress was still a show stopper.

Moreover, maintaining a royal image does not look like an easy task; fans of the royal couple had noticed Middleton looking unhappy and frustrated, and the video flooded Twitter feeds with concerned supporters.

While William and Middle were on their Cyprus trip in 2018, Kate accidentally revealed one of William's messy traits. It turns out the Duke of Cambridge is quite the messy eater. While they were touring the new room at the recreation facility on the island, William warned: "Keep the pizza off the sofas."

The soon-to-be Queen of England added to that and said, "You are a nightmare when it comes to that." While William might favor pizza for his takeaway nights, Middleton is on the other side of the spectrum.

In an interview on BBC Radio 1 in 2017, the Duchess revealed that her go-to meal when eating out is a curry. Middleton even shared that she does not share her curry with her husband because he is not the biggest fan of spicy food.
