In an interview, Tom bragged about having Brazilian and California connections since his extended family will all be together to show their support.
Besides his extended family, Tom's parents, his three sisters, his wife, their two children, and his oldest son, from a previous relationship, also show up to the Super bowl. Here are all the details about the Brady family.
WHO ARE TOM BRADY'S THREE SISTERS?
Tom grew up to be one of the most recognizable athletes in the world, but he came from a family where his siblings were also athletic. His oldest sibling is Maureen, and she was a stand-out athlete.
In the 1990s, she was an All-American softball pitcher at Fresno State. After she graduated, she pursued a career in nursing and reportedly worked in California at a local hospital.
When they were growing up, Tom was known as 'Maureen Brady's little brother' or 'The Little Brady.' Maureen revealed that Tom wrote for the school paper saying he would be a household name. She said:
"Us girls, we were all pretty good in sports, always in the newspaper. So he writes a paper, saying one day he wants us to be known as Tom Brady's sisters. He wrote, 'One day, I'm going to be a household name.'"
Not only did he write it, but he also told their mother that he would be a household name someday. True to his words, today, his sisters are known as "Tom Brady's sisters" because he has become a household name.
Nancy is the Brady family's second child, and despite having a renowned younger brother, she has managed to keep out of the spotlight over the years.
She used to play basketball and softball as a teenager, but she graduated from Boston University and now works as a Public Health Technical Advisor.
Tom's immediate elder sister is Julie, and even though she is three years older than him, she is often called Tom's twin because they were both born on August 3, three years apart.
In an Instagram post, Tom revealed that as a child, Julie was not too happy about a little brother ruining her third birthday. However, he praised her for being a great mom, wife, and friend.
Julie has lived a low-profile life as there is very little information about her personal life, even though in 2012, she married former Boston Red Sox player Kevin Youkilis two years after his divorce.
WHO ARE TOM BRADY'S PARENTS?
Tom was born on August 3, 1977, as Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. in San Mateo, California. He has the same name as his father, Brady Sr.
Tom Brady Sr. was born in 1944 in San Francisco and is older than Tom's mother, Galynn, by a couple of months. Galynn was born in Minnesota.
Tom's parents met in the late 1960s in California when Galynn, who worked as a flight attendant, was visiting the state. When they met, Tom's father was a young lawyer. In no time, their relationship blossomed, and they walked down the aisle in 1969.
Five decades later, Tom's father owns his law firm, Thomas Brady and Associates. Brady Sr.'s firm focuses on business planning, estate planning, and insurance review.
In January 2021, Tom's parents revealed that they had a "life and death" battle with coronavirus at the start of Tom's playing season.
Brady Sr. further revealed that he was forced to miss Tom's first two games of the season, and they were the only football games Tom had played that he had ever missed. Brady Sr. said:
"We didn't even see the first two games of the year. It was the first two games I ever missed of his career because I was sick as a dog, and my wife was as sick as a dog. We've never missed a game at Michigan or New England or wherever."
TOM BRADY'S FAMILY
It is symbolic that Tom has three siblings and three children. The NFL pro has been married to model Gisele Bündchen since 2009. Their relationship, which started in 2006 after meeting through friends, has had its ups and downs.
Shortly after their relationship began, Tom's ex-girlfriend, actress, and model Bridget Moynahan revealed that she was pregnant. Even though it was difficult for Bündchen, the arrival of Tom's son, Jack, gave her a bonus child.
In January 2009, Tom and Bündchen got engaged and tied the knot in February 2009. For their big day, which took them ten days to plan, the couple had just their parents in attendance.
They had a second wedding in April 2009 and welcomed their first child, Benjamin, in December 2009. Three years later, their daughter Vivian was born in December 2012.
After being married for over one decade, Tom and Bündchen still look so much in love. For their 13 anniversary in February 2022, he took to Instagram and said:
"13 years ago, we both said "I do," ….and you have been the best thing that ever happened to my life. I love you more now than I ever could have imagined. You are the best mother and wife and supporter in the world and I am blessed to call you my wife."
This is not the first time Tom has sung praises about his wife. For their 12th anniversary, he told her that her support and love for him were the best examples for their kids to emulate.
