Legendary wrestling superstar Chris Jericho married his wife Jessica Lockhart over two decades ago. Still, many wrestling fans do not know much about the couple's relationship as the superstar prefers to keep his private life away from the public eye.

Jessica Lockheart was born in the United States on August 30, 1974. Unlike her husband, she is not in the entertainment industry and prefers to stay away from the spotlight. However, she sometimes graces his social media pages.

She is reportedly from Tampa, Florida, but lives with her husband and their children in Odessa, Florida. Jessica Lockheart had met her husband in the 1990s, but there is no specific date as to when the meeting happened.

However, Jessica reportedly met the wrestler at an after-party in a Japanese restaurant. At the time, he was still working for World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

At the party, his fellow WCW alum Glenn "Disco Inferno" Gilbertti was talking to Jessica, and when Chris looked their way, he said he locked eyes with his wife.

Chris later said he immediately realized they were friends and insisted that Glen introduce them. After the introductions, he and Jessica talked for hours until the restaurant closed.

After Chris and Jessica met, with the wrestler's busy schedule, it took a while before they could meet up again. In addition, she also left for northern Minnesota, where she stayed for almost a month after their meeting.

Despite the distance, they communicated over the phone daily, and these conversations helped them build a solid foundation for their relationship.

When she returned to Florida, the wrestler confessed that he had forgotten what she looked like, but she was already his girlfriend, and they have been together ever since.

On January 1, 2000, Chris decided to take their relationship further and start the new millennium with Jessica, and when he proposed, she said yes. The couple had their wedding almost seven months later at the St. Charles Country Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

While her husband's best man was Len "Dr. Luther" Olson, a Canadian professional wrestler, they also had a Japanese wrestling fan, Masa, attend their big day.

Chris had become friends with the fan when he was with WCW in Japan. He loved Masa's willingness to learn English as part of his dedication to wrestling.

On January 1, 2020, Jessica and Chris renewed their vows after 20 years of marriage. One year after their vow renewal, he wished her a happy Valentine's day on his Instagram.

Despite having been together for over two decades, Jessica was not with her husband on the night he became the first-ever Undisputed WWF Champion in 2001.

Jessica's husband could not fly her in to witness the moment because he was not sure that he would win until the day of the show.

Their Children

Chris and Jessica have three children. They welcomed their first child, Ash Edward Irvine, on September 24, 2003, and their twin daughters, Cheyenne "Chey" Lee Irvine and Sierra "SiSi" Loretta Irvine, on July 18, 2006.

The couple's kids have also appeared in his podcast "Talk is Jericho." Their son considers himself a fish expert and aspires to be an ichthyologist.

However, Ash also played varsity football in his sophomore, junior, and senior years. Jessica's girls followed in their father's footsteps by starting their own YouTube channel, "Sisi & Chey Vlogs and Videos."

What to Know about Chris

Chris was born Christopher Keith Irvine on November 9, 1970, to former National Hockey League standout Ted Irvine in the United States but grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Besides being a wrestling champion, he is also an author, actor, and rock singer. He had loved wrestling since he was a child and made his debut in the ring at 19 after training at The Dungeon, owned by the Hart Family.

He started competing in Canada before performing globally in Mexico, Japan, and the United States. The wrestler was part of the Thrillseekers team before being renamed Sudden Impact.

He arrived in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in February 1996, and by July, he had won the ECW World Television Title after besting Anthony Durante, known as Pitbull #2.

The following month, Chris joined the WCW, where he won multiple championships. He solidified his persona and joined World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) in 1999.

Chris soon became one of WWE's most decorated wrestlers and made history on December 9, 2001, when he became WWE's first Undisputed Champion.

To earn the title, he beat Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for the WCW World Heavyweight Title and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for the WWE Championship in one night.

Outside of wrestling, Chris has been the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Fozzy since 1999, where he is known as Moongoose McQueen.

The wrestler made his debut as a stage actor in 2006. On October 25, 2007, he published his first autobiography, chronicling the beginning of his personal and professional life, from his early years to his wrestling debut.

His second autobiography told the story of life in the big leagues. It was published in 2011, while his third autobiography focused on his wild and hilarious adventures and was published in 2014.

For WWE, he was a former World Heavyweight Champion, eight times Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion, former five times World Tag Team Champion, former two times Tag Team Champion, former European Heavyweight Champion, and former Hardcore Champion.

Chris was the ECW World Television Champion and WCW World Television Champion. In 2010, the superstar was inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.
