Alejandro Fernández Has 5 Children & 2 of Them Became Musicians
Alejandro Fernández is the most famous son of the late Mexican musician, Vicente Fernández. While he walked in his father's footsteps and shared the stage with him, only two of his five children have taken after his musical career.
Alejandro Fernández was born in Mexico City on April 24, 1971. Even though he grew up around music, he partly lived on the "Los Tres Potrillos" ranch with his family and became an exceptional horseman and animal expert.
His foray into music began when he was three, as he made his first appearance on stage. However, as he grew older, he explored other facets of life and showed interest in Architecture.

In 1992, Alejandro returned to music with the release of his self-titled album. The following year, he went on tour and performed with his father. Soon, his fans began calling him "El Potrillo," meaning "the Little Colt."
Alejandro's vocal gifts made him the ideal figure to represent Mexican culture. However, he was not the only one to pursue a musical career as his brother, Vicente Jr. Fernández, followed in their father's footsteps.
With Alejandro's success in his career, his personal life also witnessed growth, and he soon became a father of five. Today, two of his children have followed in his footsteps, continuing the family tradition and expanding the Fernández dynasty.
Alejandro Fernández Has 3 Children with América Guinart
Alejandro married for the first time in 1992. He married his close friend América Guinart. They had been friends since they were children, as their parents were friends.
They fell in love, married, and welcomed three children: Alex Fernández, Camila Fernández, and América Fernández. The couple separated in 1998 and had their divorce finalized in 2002.
Alex and Camila followed in their father's footsteps. Alex, born on November 4, 1993, is a singer and composer who made his musical debut in 2018 when he released his single "Te Amaré."
In 2019, he received nominations for best regional song and best ranchera music album at the Latin Grammy Awards. That same year, he released his first album, "Sigue la Dinastía," with the help of his grandfather, who chose eight of the eleven songs in the album.
He has sung on different occasions with his father and grandfather. In the January 2021 edition of Caras Magazine, Alex appeared on the cover with his father and grandfather.

The couple welcomed their daughter in April 2022. Outside of music, he is an entrepreneur and has a pastry shop in Mexico.
Alejandro's daughter Camila, who made her music debut in 2014, also took a music break as she became a mother in 2021. When she made her debut, she performed with her father, and the following year, she signed her first contract with the Universal Music label.
Although he allowed her to share the stage with him, Alejandro initially wanted his daughter born on November 30, 1997, to finish her studies before she followed in his footsteps.
The musician's second daughter, América, is not building a music career, but she calls herself a "digital creator" on Instagram, with over 140,000 followers. She uses the platform to share beautiful pictures from her vacation and daily routine.
Alejandro Fernández Has 2 Children with Ximena Díaz
After Alejandro's relationship with his wife ended, he started dating Colombian model and actress Ximena Díaz. There is very little information about the details of their relationship, but they never married and had two children, Emiliano Fernández and Valentina Fernández, before they split.
Emiliano was born on March 18, 2000. His Instagram bio states that he is a musician and has yet to release any known songs, but judging by the posts on his page, he plays the guitar.
He also travels a lot and often spends time with his family. Recently he started posting photos with his girlfriend, Fernanda Zogo, a fashion stylist.
Valentina is Alejandro's youngest daughter and child, born on February 9, 2002. Her Instagram bio also reveals that she is a musician. Even though she has yet to release any of her work, she has shown off her vocal talent in her father's video "Celebremos: Eterna Navidad."
Just like Vincente Fernández shared the stage with his children, Alejandro also shared the stage with his daughters. His video featured Valentina's elder sisters.
Like her older brother, she travels a lot, using her Instagram to share photos of her life while showing off the time she spends with her boyfriend, David Aizenman.
Alejandro Fernández Will No Longer Be Able to Have Children
In January 2004, Alejandro revealed that he no longer wanted children after having five. To do this, he underwent a vasectomy, a technique in which doctors tie the vas deferens to prevent sperm passage for sterilizing purposes.
He had the operation performed at the Hospital del Carmen in Mexico. He further stated that he decided to undergo the procedure because he wanted to be an even more responsible father.
The musician wanted to be able to give his children the best and did not want more that would cause him to water down the quality of life he could provide.
Alejandro also revealed that they removed a tumor from his chest while on the operating table. Thankfully, after the doctors analyzed it, it turned out to be a benign cyst.
