Ronda Rousey's Husband Is Also a Successful UFC Fighter

Ronda Rousey's husband, Travis Browne, has had a career much like that of his wife. He is a successful Ultimate Fighting Championship "UFC" fighter and a retired mixed martial artist.

Ronda Rousey is a professional wrestler, actress, former judoka, and mixed martial artist and is best known for her time in the UFC. She was born in California on February 1, 1987, started her career as a judoka and competed internationally in various competitions.

At 21, she retired and began training in mixed martial arts, a career path she retired from by December 2016. Four months after her retirement, she accepted Travis Browne's proposal, and they married in August 2017.

Rousey's husband, Travis Kuualiialoha Browne, was born in Hawaii on July 17, 1982. At 26, he was introduced to Brazilian jiu-jitsu even though he had no martial arts training, and in 2009, he began his professional mixed martial arts career.

The following year, he signed with the UFC and won his debut fight within five minutes in the first round. Before his retirement, he won the 2013 Breakthrough Fighter of the Year award and the 2013 Comeback of the Year award at the World Mixed Martial Arts Awards.

Browne's last fight was on July 8, 2017, when he faced Alexey Oleynik during the UFC's annual International Fight Week. However, he lost the battle after submitting in the second round.

Before he married Rousey, the fighter had been married twice. His first marriage to Erin Browne lasted from 2001 until 2009, and they had two children before they divorced.

In January 2015, he married for the second time to fitness model Jenna Renee Webb. After separating and preparing to get a divorce, he started dating his current wife. They finalized their divorce on February 21, 2016.

Travis Browne Proposed with a Big Diamond Ring

Rousey and Browne started dating in 2015 when he was still married to his first wife. After almost two years of dating, he proposed to her in a romantic and picturesque proposal in New Zealand in April 2017.

He popped the question under a waterfall because he felt it was the right place to do so and presented her with a massive princess-cut center-stone diamond ring.

Despite being ready to ask Rousey to marry him, the wrestler was tongue-tied when the moment came, just as she was surprised by his proposal.

Shortly after they got engaged, the press caught up with them, and the UFC superstar was beaming with smiles as she was about to get married.

Rousey was also candid about not knowing what went into planning a wedding but knew it would be simple as they only needed somewhere to go, food, and a few people around.

On August 28, 2017, the couple tied the knot in a Hawaiian backyard wedding with a few family and friends. Two days later, she posted a picture from their wedding on her Instagram, and in the caption, she wrote:

"Happiest day of my life."

They Have a Child Together

On September 27, 2021, Ronda Rousey and Browne welcomed their first child. The couple first revealed that they were expecting a child in April 2021.

They announced it on her YouTube channel as she said she was four months pregnant and could no longer hide it. She said it was time to start showing off her baby bump during the announcement.

To announce the birth of their baby, the new mom took to Instagram to post pictures of their daughter tucked under her white t-shirt with the baby's hand as the only visible part which rested on her chest.

The second photo showed their daughter's arm resting on Browne's tattooed arm. However, Rousey used the caption to reveal their daughter's name as they called her La'akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne.
