Hugo Wilson Dallas may be the youngest of actors Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas's kids, but he may not be the last, as long as "universe grants" him more siblings from his parents. His older brother Oliver Finley developed a bond with him while he was still in Ginnifer's belly.

Hugo Wilson Dallas's parents met in 2011 while filming in Canada. The couple instantly connected and bonded as they were both away from home. Eventually, their romance blossomed, and they married in April 2014, just a month before they welcomed Hugo Wilson's older brother.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas announced they were pregnant with Hugo Wilson in November 2015. The couple welcomed their lastborn the following year in Los Angeles on June 1. Hugo Wilson rarely appears on his parents' social media pages; even when he does, they always protect his face with emojis.

The Second Pregnancy Felt Much Easier for Ginnifer

In February 2016, a few months before Hugo Wilson was born, his parents spoke about his upcoming arrival. When comparing her pregnancies, Ginnifer reportedly said that her second was much easier since she and her husband were mainly preoccupied with Hugo Wilson's older brother, a toddler at the time.

The couple also had difficulty choosing a name for their son, as they felt they'd already used the best one for their first kid. However, they did mull over a few options while figuring out which name would be "just as stunning" as 'Oliver.'

The following month, Hugo Wilson's mom also appeared on the "Rachael Ray Show," where she opened up about his pending arrival. The mom of two revealed that in her first pregnancy, she always craved spicy food, particularly canfuls of jalapenos.

Yet, when she carried Hugo Wilson, she preferred sweet foods like watermelon popsicles. Ginnifer emphasized how "chill" this pregnancy was when she confessed that she barely tracked how far along she would be and had to refer to a datebook. The actress would even forget her baby bump, saying:

"And I keep forgetting that I'm pregnant [...], I'm not like obsessing. I just run into things and I'm like 'Oh, there's a belly there right!'"

When Hugo Wilson's parents first had his brother, they decided to "be heroes" and only did everything for themselves. They opted not to hire a nanny to help them out because it was "too L.A." for them, and when it came to Hugo Wilson, Ginnifer said:

"This time we're going at it Downton Abbey-style—staffing up—like a nanny and an under-nanny."

Older Brother Welcomes His Younger Sibling in the Belly 'Hello, Baby'

Hugo Wilson's mom spoke about she and Josh prepared his brother, Oliver Finley, for his arrival. Ginnifer explained that Oliver Finley understood "the concept of a baby." He was more than happy to talk to Hugo Wilson, as Ginnifer sweetly described:

"He pulls up my shirt every day and pats my belly and says, 'Hello, baby.' We kept telling him, 'Your brother can hear you.' So he just pushes his face into my belly and talks. And he'll give me like raspberries and kisses and stuff."

When she revealed Hugo Wilson's gender, the "Zootopia" star couldn't be more excited and said she wanted "a house full of boys." Ginnifer expressed her reluctance to have a baby girl, saying she wouldn't know what to do while raising her, and joked:

"I would not have wanted to raise me either. I really wouldn't have. [...] I'm good with a boy, like breaking things in my house. I just don't know how I could manage like a girl like, I feel like I'd be broken emotionally."

Hugo's Loving Brother, Oliver

Oliver Finley Dallas was born in May 2014 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital in Los Angeles. He was delivered by the famous doctor Paul Crane, who frequently appeared on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Dr. Crane is known on the show for helping Kourtney and Kim through their pregnancies.

Family Time in Disneyland

In May 2019, Josh Dallas and his wife took Hugo Wilson and Oliver Finley on a fun day at Disneyland, where they all enjoyed many rides and other amenities. The couple matched with black caps and sunglasses, with Josh wearing dark-colored jeans, a flannel shirt, and a gray vest underneath.

Ginnifer wore a green knitted jersey and black bottoms. The mom of two once said she would have as many children as the universe granted her. The actress also felt that being a parent required more creativity than acting did, saying she would give any parent an Oscar.

Because of that observation, she found parenting much better than expected. Her husband praised her motherly skills, describing her as a "cool" mom and the "greatest" one he knew. Ginnifer returned the compliment, calling Josh her "knight in shining armor" as he always helped her with the kids.

When Oliver Finley was almost a year old, Josh marveled at how much he'd grown. The "Once Upon a Time" co-star marveled that "every day was a milestone," as his firstborn had learned to climb the stairs and could hold his own bottle.

After Hugo Wilson's birth, Ginnifer said she wanted to make more family-friendly films that her kids could enjoy. She explained that it's part of why she joined "Once Upon a Time." While she was proud of her career, Ginnifer felt that her kids would only watch some of her films once they were older.
