She explained how important her fans were to her because they were the reason she had a career, as they'd supported her for a long time. The mother of two concluded her speech by thanking everyone.

She revealed she and River were going to get some ice cream while the little girl shouted, "Go, Mom!" The star got a loving hug from her daughter to celebrate the incredible win.

While most people know Clarkson as a famous singer and television personality, her children only recognize her as their mother. Just like she brought her daughter to the awards show and mentioned her son during her speech, the musician always put her children first.

Kelly Refused Morning Work to Spend Time with Her Children

In recent times, Clarkson had ensured to take her children along to events like in September 2022 when she was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The country star, who shares the duo with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, also brought her mother, Jeanne.

In a past interview, Clarkson confessed that being a mother to her young children had changed how she approached her work. She revealed how she'd chosen to push back her talk show's time so she could drop her children at school in the morning.

The latest season was pushed back by 30 minutes, and their nanny picked them up in the afternoon. The television personality was happy with the time she had with her children, stating:

"At least I have the mornings with them, and then I have nights with them."

The former "The Voice" judge had suffered "mom guilt" but felt lucky that she could see her children as often as she did. The singer recalled an incident years ago where she called her mother asking if she saw her children enough.

Jeanne comforted Clarkson telling her that she saw her children more than she'd seen her as a child! However, getting to this point came with challenges, as she had to multitask between her children and her divorce.

Kelly and Her Divorce: How Was It?

After being in a relationship for two years, Clarkson and Brandon married in October 2013. Before the pair exchanged vows, the star jokingly confessed that she was "too happy" and that Brandon was ruining her creativity!

In February 2020, Clarkson spoke about parenting, sharing how it changed people for the best. The musician said it had made her stronger but also admitted that it was the most challenging job out there, although it made her selfless and forced her to prioritize.

She said she didn't know how people went through the process without an outlet because it was the worst experience for all involved. The parent shared how she was working on navigating a public separation.

By March 2022, the former couple's divorce was settled, with them getting joint custody but Clarkson paying $45,601 in child support to her ex. A $1.3 million one-time payment had to be made to Brandon, who also received $115,000 in monthly spousal support.

The talent manager would get the payment until January 31, 2024. Clarkson got the Montana ranch but didn't live there or use it because her ex-husband was living there and paying her rent.

The country musician also got to keep the family pets and several vehicles. Brandon was due to receive all the livestock that they'd had on their Montana farm.
