Luke Newton's Girlfriend Jade Davies Is a Talented Performer in Her Own Right

Luke Newton's girlfriend, Jade Davies, is a seasoned opera singer with years of musical theatre experience under her belt. While she is commonly known as Luke Newton's girlfriend, she is also related to a former "Love Island" contender.

Luke become a well-known actor in Hollywood following his role as Colin Bridgerton on Netflix's record-breaking TV series, "Bridgerton." The television show is set in English high society and was renewed for a third and fourth season during the taping of its second season.

While fans can look forward to seeing more of Luke in the third season of "Bridgerton" and his on-screen romance with Lady Whistledown, played by Nicola Coughlan, his off-screen love story with Jade also caught the attention of fans after it was revealed the two Brits had been together since 2019.

Originally from Denbigh, Wales, Jade relocated to London when she was 16 and studied at Bird College and the prestigious Urdang Academy – where she gained her diploma – before bursting onto the musical theatre scene.

She was cast in the theatre production of "Les Miserables" after graduating before landing roles in a slew of theatre shows such as "Phantom of the Opera," "Sister Act," "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "The Wizard of Oz."

Jade showed no signs of slowing down as she traveled internationally to play Maria in "West Side Story" with the Estonian National Opera, as well as being cast in "My Fair Lady" at an Italian theatre in Palermo, Italy.

In early 2022, Jade was one of the ten members of the Welsh of the West End, an opera group that wowed on "Britain's Got Talent." Another one of those members was her sister and "Love Island" 2017 winner-turned-West End star, Amber Davies.

With a shared passion for acting and singing, Jade was one of Luke's most prominent supporters and took to Instagram to celebrate his inclusion in the third season of "Bridgerton." She wrote:

"It's your time. And no one deserves it more. I'll be with you every step of the way."

During an interview in 2021, Luke revealed that he surprised Jade with a trip to Amsterdam. After she had mentioned several times that she needed a new suitcase, the "Bridgerton" actor hid their tickets to the Dutch country inside the new suitcase he had bought for her as a Christmas gift.

And Jade returned the favor with a sentimental gift too. She created a book of pictures from their relationship and special occasions and went the extra mile by including the dates, what they were doing and what happened. Luke said:

"She's got an amazing memory, much better than mine, so it's kind of nice to me to look back and go, 'Oh, that's what we were doing that day,' rather than just remembering the photo."

Luke Newton's Best Love Advice Is "Just Be Yourself from Day One"

While Luke Newton's role on "Bridgerton," co-starring Jonathan Bailey and Regé-Jean Page, was his breakthrough acting gig, the English actor revealed that the show also taught him about love.

While sharing a few words of wisdom, Luke said that with the theme of "Bridgeton" being about love and finding love, his best romance advice would be to be your true self, adding that most people masked who they were until they were comfortable.

"Be honest and be yourself from day one," he said. While the period drama is set in a historic part of England, Luke revealed that he came from a section of England– Brighton– with a similar "cool and vintage-y" feel, perfect for first dates.

While it's unclear where he took Jade for their first date, Luke admitted that a bar in his hometown that offered old-schooling dancing and a sense of time travel would be his ideal first date.
