Store Guard Catches Girl Stealing, Learns She Must Be Saved From Her Parents – Story of the Day

Jamie hailed from a middle-class family of farmers. He was the youngest of three brothers and dreamed of starting a hotel business. He then moved to New York with nothing more than a suitcase, some money his parents gave him after selling their cattle, and a bigger dream.

"The sun sets way before my shift ends! But yeah... okay, I'll think about it!!" Beverly blushed as she disappeared behind the school gate after exchanging numbers.

Jamie hurried away because he could no longer resist her immaculate beauty. It was not a crush or mere attraction. Jamie was looking beyond Beverly's beauty, and something about her... he just didn't know what... had struck him down with love.

Jamie told off his girlfriend's parents for being careless about their three daughters. He threatened to sue them with a guardianship case and took Beverly and her sisters with him.

They married a few months later, but Jamie's parents were not happy about his choice, although they trusted him. Beverly's parents never showed up. At least her mother would've attended her wedding, but she had stayed back, giving into her husband's threat.

Beverly thought she would never see her parents again. But a week later, her mom, Isabel, arrived on her doorstep alone, crying.

"Mom?! What happened? Where's dad?" Beverly panicked.

Isabel cried on her shoulders, telling her that her dad had passed on the previous night.

"I cannot live without you. Please, I need you back. Please get back to mama."

Jamie's heart moved, and he developed a soft spot for his mother-in-law. He organized his father-in-law's funeral and sent Isabel to rehab to help her overcome her addiction issues.
