  • Mick Jagger settled down with his longtime girlfriend and six-year-old son after suffering cardiac arrest at his ranch.

  • Move like Jagger - Jagger's lifestyle helps keep him in shape, young and healthy at 79.

  • He does not live life like a housewife from "Mother's Little Helper" (what a drag it is aging) song that he sang at a young age in the '60s. But he has made peace with mortality, and music helps him.

English singer Mick Jagger settled down with his family (36-year-old beloved and 6-year-old son) following a heart attack at his ranch. The family of three resides at their $2 million Florida home.

Jagger, who still sings, set up a homestead in the US with his longtime choreographer girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick, and their young son, Deveraux. The global star purchased the abode, consisting of four bedrooms and six bathrooms, in 2020.

He and Hamrick started dating in 2014 and welcomed their only child together in 2016. The couple celebrated their son's sixth birthday in December 2022 and posted a sweet photo of the trio.

Hamrick and Jagger marked their son's milestone with a cake and party hats. They also shared several images of the birthday boy showing some memorable moments.

Jagger's Home Routine Lifestyle

Jagger is 79 years old and has eight children. When he was in his late 60s, he got candid about his routine for staying healthy and physically active. The songwriter revealed:

"I alternate between gym work and dancing. Then I do sprints, things like that. I’m training for stamina."

Jagger added his daily routine involves getting to "bed early the night before, about 2 a.m. Up at 10 a.m. the next morning. Any earlier, you'll be too relaxed by showtime," he said of performing live on stage.

For a regime, the Golden Globe Award winner divulged he runs several miles daily, goes cycling, swims, and does kickboxing.

Jagger reportedly works out three hours daily, five to six days a week. As an avid runner, he runs eight miles if he is up for it while taking turns between distance and shorter sprints. He does yoga, ballet, meditation, and resistance training and has a pre-gig routine.

In addition, the Rolling Stone frontman follows a healthy diet consisting of fruits and vegetables, chicken and fish, and whole grains and legumes. He previously tried the Keto diet, a high-fat, low-carb regime that reportedly helps reduce body fat levels.

From a young age, Jagger learned a fitness ritual with which he has remained consistent throughout his adult life. His father taught him the importance of exercising regularly. Sadly, he passed away at age 93, and his son has made it his mission to follow in his footsteps to maintain a 28-inch waist.

In May 2022, Jagger's fellow bandmates, who are also in their seventies, discussed their routines before performing on live shows. Guitarist, Keith Richards, now 79, said he prefers going easy on himself pre-show.

"I may or may not have a stiff drink, but usually, I don't. You know, you grow out of everything. I've spent all my life giving up on things, so that's about it now," said Richards.

Meanwhile, slide guitarist Ronnie Wood, 75, revealed that he does the opposite. The English musician is a big fan of stretching, especially after experiencing lung and small-cell cancer: "After all my battles, [..] with the big C, I try to keep moving, keep my joints warmed up, stretches and stuff."

Moreover, Jagger has given one of his brood beauty advice. In June 2015, his daughter Georgia, whom he shares with model Jerry Hall, revealed what he taught her about beauty.

She said her famous dad "taught me that the lines on your face and the things that are wrong with you represent how much that you've lived and enjoyed life rather than what is bad about you. Neither of my parents buy into that plastic surgery culture."

Georgia's father has some appearance upkeep that he does himself, including dyeing his hair. Jagger has extensively researched hair coloring and how to apply it but has since realized that he needed professional assistance. As such, his technician goes to his house to ensure his gray roots do not show.

Jagger also takes good care of his skin by applying Prescriptives Super Flight Cream, a product known for giving the skin the moisture it needs, especially when one is dehydrated after long flights.

The music superstar also uses anti-aging products such as Clarins and Lancome moisturizing lotions, including Crème de la Mer. Jagger applies the cream to get rid of dark circles before bed. In addition, he opts for regular face masks at home and takes supplements daily, including sipping on super juice smoothies.

Jagger on Growing Old

However, Jagger does not live like a housewife in the song "Mother's Little Helper," which he and his band released in 1966. "What a drag it is getting old," is the vocalist's opening line when he was still young. The song is about a bored housewife who dreads her "busy dying day."

Jagger admitted that he could bear to face mortality after a member of the group, drummer Charlie Watts died in August 2021. He was 80. The band's leading man feared that he could be next.

"Mick is definitely feeling his mortality after Charlie's passing. It's made him wonder if his own end is around the corner," an insider revealed at the time. The thought of having his heart failing "terrified" him as he believed he would reunite with his dear friend Watts, with whom he shared many memories.

In April 2019, Jagger underwent heart surgery. Reports later revealed that he had to be a few feet away from his cardiologist when performing on stage – several weeks following the operation. The celebrated artist had a valve replacement op, and the insurance company demanded that he have a doctor nearby as a measure of precaution.

A source disclosed that whenever Rolling Stone goes on tour, there is always a medical professional on standby especially considering the ages of the bandmates. "But now Mick has undergone heart surgery. There is a cardiologist there, too, just for him. The insurance company demands it just in case anything happens," the insider explained.

At age 35, Jagger was known for his wild behavior and stated that no matter what environment he found himself in, he "felt like a baby – like I'm ten or eleven or twelve."

He added that he "trained" himself to be that way and later revealed that he feels pressured to remain youthful because of his fans. Moreover, he needs to raise his son, who just turned 6.
