Daymond John's Wife Heather Taras Is the 'Girl of His Dreams'
Heather Taras remained by her partner's side for several years before tying the knot with him. She and the millionaire entrepreneur Daymond John secretly married in 2018, just two years after their daughter was born.
Heather Taras used to lead a career as a medical professional, though she had different dreams for herself. She kept a low profile, but after her romance with Daymond John began, her name was thrust into the spotlight.
Before John met Taras, he was previously married to a woman whose identity he fiercely guarded. The pair shared two daughters; however, their union ended because John admittedly prioritized his skyrocketing success over his family.

Things changed after he met Taras, and the lovers took their time with each milestone they reached as a couple. They are currently raising an adorable six-year-old biracial daughter. She is Taras's first and only child.
And much like actress Connie Britton, adoptive mother to Eyob "Yoby" Britton since 2011, Taras is aware of her responsibility to teach her baby about the systemic racism she is yet to face in the United States of America.

Who Is the Girl of Daymond John's Dreams?
Before meeting her beau, Taras worked as a registered nurse. She dreamed of becoming a model and working in the fashion industry, and although she never led those pursuits, her life still became fulfilling.
Taras is a fitness and health enthusiast, as part of her Instagram timeline suggested, and is knowledgeable about natural wellness treatments. Most of her background has eluded public knowledge, but she once revealed that she had a brother, Jason Taras.
Unfortunately, the 2017 post, which featured a childhood photo of herself and young Jason, announced his passing. Taras said she was deeply saddened to have to share the tragic news but believed her sibling was at peace.
In 2020, she chatted with Contemporary Approaches, touching on various aspects of her life. After revealing that her favorite book was "POWERSHIFT" by her husband and her favorite movie was "Minority Report," Taras shared her mantra:
"Sometimes circumstances must change so you can change."
It's unclear when her romance with John—who starred in the reality TV series "Shark Tank" alongside Lori Greiner and Robert Herjavec—began, but she once posted a throwback photo of them from 2009 as they prepared to leave for her birthday trip to Dubai.
Hence, they likely started dating sometime before then. Last year, Taras celebrated her husband's birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram, featuring a thread of photos and clips where he posed with her or Minka. She referred to him as her "everything."
Heather Taras' Only Daughter Is Not Daymond's Only Daughter
The couple welcomed their baby girl Minka Jagger John on March 2, 2016. Minka's elder half-sisters are Yasmeen and Destiny John; however, apart from their names, there isn't much information publicly available about them.
Being a first-time mom, the main values Taras said she wanted to instill in Minka were confidence and empathy. She wanted Minka to grow up aware of her importance and the weight her voice held, and further added:
"As a mother to a mixed race child, it is my responsibility to educate her on potential ignorance and build her up so she will be able to handle any situation she may encounter."
The People's Shark and Heather Had a "Very, Very Private" Wedding
John revealed the big news on the red carpet in September 2018 at the Samsung Charity Gala in New York City. He and Taras tied the knot during an intimate ceremony witnessed by very few guests, as he explained:
"It was [a great day]. Filled with family and friends, very, very private — a few people knew about it and it wasn't in the public eye and I got married to the girl of my dreams."
The couple got engaged in 2016 following Minka's birth a few months before and immediately started planning. They initially wanted to have their wedding in the Caribbean but were forced to change plans after hurricanes raided the island.
