Ava McIntosh Is Amy Robach's Older Daughter from Her First Marriage
Ava Monroe McIntosh is paving her way in the music industry. Until last year in November, she and her sister were part of a blended family with her mom's now-estranged husband and his sons. It all came crashing following her mom's infidelity scandal in November.
Ava Monroe McIntosh is the eldest of two famous TV news anchors' daughters, one of whom recently found herself in hot waters after her infidelity with a co-worker was exposed. Following the incident, McIntosh and her sister seemed "unfazed" about the publicized affair.
McIntosh remained active on her socials, providing life updates to her followers. Unfortunately, though, her whole family spent the Christmas holidays apart, with her mom, Amy Robach, and stepfather, Andrew Shue, going their separate ways.
Ava Is a Pretty Talented Singer
Though it's unclear when McIntosh's passion for the art form began, it's evident on her social pages. She refers to herself as an artist and "a panorama of JOY" on her Instagram account, which boasted over 5K followers at the time of publication.
The young singer filled her timeline with vibrant pictures of her travels, performances, and pictures with friends. Her bio further indicated her affiliations, including the Take 3 Talent Agency and the New York City rock 'n' roll club The Bitter End.
McIntosh is also a student at The New York Tisch School of the Arts; however, it's unknown which studies she chose to pursue. While juggling her college responsibilities, she's also a regular performer at The Bitter End.
McIntosh once appeared on live television alongside her mom on "Good Morning America." It was "Take Your Kids To Work Day" at the studio, where she and her sister, Annalise McIntosh, presented the "GMA Hot List" alongside Robach.
Ava's Mother Is Going through Some Love-Life Drama
McIntosh's mom and dad, Thomas Monroe McIntosh, married in 1996 and divorced in 2009. Her mom remarried Shue—who had also been husband to Jennifer Hageney and had three sons—and the pair blended their families.
However, things took a turn in November 2022, when news broke that Robach and her co-host TJ Holmes—who also had an alleged affair with former GMA producer Natasha Singh—were both cheating on their spouses.
Holmes had been married to his now-estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig, while Robach and Shue had been going strong since 2010. The former GMA co-hosts took a two-month hiatus from the ABC show before the channel announced their exit this month.
They continued their romance despite the scandal under which it came to light and went their separate ways with their former partners. Neither McIntosh nor her sister shared their thoughts and feelings about the situation.
They posted as usual on their Instagram pages, and the public perception was that they were "unfazed" about the scandal. McIntosh even spent her holiday in Miami, Florida, before extending it to another destination in Charleston, South Carolina.
Ava Has a Bunch of Siblings
Besides her younger sister—born in 2006, while she drew her first breath in 2002—McIntosh's older stepbrothers are 26-year-old Nathaniel, 25-year-old Aidan, and 18-year-old Wyatt, who will all be a year older by this year's end.
Speaking about being a stepmother to three young men, Robach, who appeared alongside Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Rihanna in "Ocean's Eight," ensured she instilled the importance of hygiene in them.
She also highlighted a certain "sweetness" about them that she never got from her daughters. Her estranged husband supported the sentiment, saying McIntosh and her sister were feisty, and he appreciated how much they challenged him.
Although Robach and Shue eventually found a dynamic with their blended family, they initially encountered some challenges, as Shue found that merging their parenting styles was difficult. He admitted that he was sometimes "the problem," but eventually, things worked out.
