Although he is a popular figure, Bill Burr keeps much of his private life, including his daughter Lola, out of the spotlight and does not share her photos on social media.

However, Lola's father does not shy away from discussing his daughter in interviews or during his stand-up comedy shows. The father of two has talked about how he once changed the ending of a recording session as the initial joke felt like it may upset his daughter. Additionally, he spoke about how being a dad changed his life views.

Lola Burr Is Bill Burr's First Child

On January 20, 2017, then 48-year-old Bill welcomed his first child, Lola, with his wife, Hill. That makes Lola an Aquarius. Their daughter arrived about three and a half years after their wedding.

Lola's parents married in September 2013 after dating for a long time. They met and fell in love while attending Emerson College in Boston, after which they briefly lived together before moving to Los Angeles in search of more work opportunities. This was all before Lola was in the picture.

In May 2020, Hill announced that Lola would be getting a younger sibling. In June 2020, Lola's mother shared a picture of herself holding a newborn son. Just before Hill got pregnant with Lola, Bill said he was worried that he wouldn't be able to get his wife pregnant as he felt he was too old. He noted:

“I was worried that I was too old to do it, so the fact that the plumbing still worked was a relief. I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to do the whole Westworld thing where I was going to have to go into a lab and they were going to have to milk some sort of life out of me."

Bill Burr's Daughter Aspires to Be a Comedian Like Him

Lola Burr, inspired by her famous dad's sense of humor, expressed an early desire to follow in his comedic footsteps. The anecdote unfolds in 2020 when Lola's mother shared a heartwarming moment on social media.

At the time, Bill had told his wife Nia that he was heading out to tell jokes. Curiosity piqued, and three-year-old Lora sought clarification from her mother about the nature of her father's endeavor.

In response, Lora's mother explained her dad had a special talent for making people laugh. To this revelation, young Lora, with a spark of enthusiasm, declared her own aspirations — she wanted to tell jokes, too.

In a cheerful mood, Lola delighted her father with stories, expressing that he was the best dad ever.

Despite his demanding career, Bill cherishes spending quality time with his children, creating precious memories that often become anecdotes shared on his podcast. In one such heartwarming story, Bill recounted a delightful exchange with his daughter, Lola.

She approached him with a unique request: an apple pie for breakfast. Unfazed by the unconventional request, Bill adhered to Lola's request. However, with the reality of missing ingredients, he informed Lola of the obstacle.

Undeterred, Lola, displaying the innocent persistence of childhood, suggested a solution — a trip to the grocery store. Bill, ever the indulgent father, decided to embark on this impromptu trip.

However, Lola's mother, foreseeing the potential pitfalls of instant gratification, cautioned Bill against spoiling their daughter. Despite the parental advice, Bill ended up making Lola a homemade pie.

Bill's parenting anecdotes vividly depict his charming interactions with his daughter. In one delightful episode, Lola woke him up with a specific breakfast request — French toast. However, her mother intervened, suggesting leftover pancakes as an alternative. Lola's subtle disappointment revealed her preference for French toast.

Bill humorously reflected on the fact that his children might not fully grasp the extent of his Sunday breakfast efforts, which contrast sharply with his childhood routine of having cereal throughout the week, reserving a grand breakfast of French toast, eggs, and bacon for Sundays.

Among the shared moments between Bill and Lola, running errands emerges as a unique bonding activity. Lola's father shared how a trip to get ice cream turned into a memorable daddy-daughter conversation. In a cheerful mood, Lola delighted her father with stories, expressing that he was the best dad ever.

At a young age, Lola has showcased an impressive array of talents. Beyond her skills as a guitarist, she has proven to be a talented skater. Her proud father shared a delightful moment when Lola displayed her skating prowess in front of his friends.

At a young age, Lola has already had some extraordinary experiences, and in 2023, she had the privilege of attending her first-ever Beyoncé concert. Lola's mother, undoubtedly excited about the event, took to social media to share the details of the unforgettable event with her fans.

Attending such a high-profile and iconic event at a young age undoubtedly left a lasting impression on Lola, creating cherished memories.

Although Lola is still young, she has already been on a few adventures with her father. On their first father-daughter movie, her dad decided to take her to watch what he thought was the children's film, "Dumbo." However, to their surprise, the film was unsuitable for child viewing, leaving Lola wanting to go home to her mother.

Admittedly, Bill alluded that he is not very good at parenting while performing live. He referred to an instance when he got mad about a text on his phone telling him he had missed a meeting. His reaction was so over-the-top and loud that it scared Lola, who was in another room but ran to where he was crying.

However, Lola's father is very caring and mindful of his daughter's feelings. Bill revealed that he had once changed the closing joke while recording his stand-up comedy special made for Netflix, "Paper Tiger." He did that to protect his daughter, who he felt would not take it well if she heard it.

Lola Burr Changed Her Father's View of Life

When Lola was still one, Bill made an appearance on "Conan" and was asked what, in his opinion, was the best thing about being a father. In response, Bill pointed out that going to the park with Lola and pushing her on the swing was something that he enjoyed a lot.

In addition, at Lola's first birthday party, he realized how lucky he was to have a girl. He explained his view saying, "Girls just chill out and take things in, and I saw the little boys; they are like maniacs, they are like throwing stuff and reaping [things]."

Bill Burr says he has developed a different perspective on life since becoming a dad. One is that he "didn't have that ridiculous joy that comes with the balance of life, fear, and worry that happens the second you become a dad."

Bill has even learned how to do Lola's hair after he had a crazy thought that one day Hill might not be around and their daughter would go to school with messed up hair. He hilariously conceded that he started paying more attention to women's hairdos while watching movies so that he could style Lola.
