He celebrates his first grandson's birth with a bunch of sweet photos.
On February 8, 2023, Ron Perlman, then 73, took some time to celebrate his grandson, Benicio Dean Perlman's first birthday. The celebration included the actor's son, Benicio's father, Brandon Perlman, and his wife (Ron's daughter-in-law), Francesca.
Also present was the little boy's aunt and the star's daughter, Blake Perlman. To pay tribute to the birthday boy, Ron uploaded an adorable image of his grandson, all kitted out in warm clothing, as he sat and smiled in the snow.
The "Hellboy" actor revealed in the post's caption that his first grandson was born on that day a year ago. He wished the little boy, whom he called by his nickname "Benny," a happy birthday, and shared that it was the day:
"When my heart was forever changed."

Blake posted an Instagram photo of her and Benicio sitting on the grass below what looked like a lemon tree. She celebrated his first birthday and said it had been a pleasure watching the little boy frow calling him her "sweetest baby angel nephew" and vowing to always be there for him with her love.
On her Instagram Story, Blake also revealed that they went to the zoo for her nephew's birthday, where Benicio had a great view from his father's shoulders. Close-up images of the boy who got to see zebras and other animals were taken.

Brandon was a doting father, just like his own. The musician was Ron's second child, and how he was welcomed into the Perlman family was an exciting story that his father shared.
Ron Was a Great Father despite His Son's "Weird" Birth
In Ron's book, "Easy Street (the Hard Way): A Memoir," the star revealed how he and his mother's children, Opal Stone, started living together three months after their Valentine's Day date. The couple remained married for 38 years.

He proudly revealed that Stone gave him two of the "coolest" children; she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. While his wife was pregnant with Brandon, their second child, and his television series "Beauty and the Beast" was canceled in January 1990.
In the post's caption, Ron [Perlman] revealed that the picture represented three generations.
Brandon was born in March 1990, with his father noting how the timing was "weird," but he knew his son was the Golden Child. Sadly, the actor started taking his frustrations out on his wife, and after marrying on Valentine's Day in 1981, the couple divorced in 2019.

Although his long-term marriage ended after almost four decades, Ron didn't know that his anguish would turn to joy a few years later. The actor finally got to become a first-time grandfather!
Becoming a Grandpa at 72 Changed Ron's Life
In 2022, Brandon uploaded an Instagram photo of his newborn son. Ron, then 72, welcomed the newest addition to the family by leaving a comment on his son's post, writing excitedly:
"Full blown happiness!!"
In February 2022, the actor shared an Instagram photo of him cuddling his grandson and revealing that "gramps" and "little Benny" were mid-discussion. A week after that post, Ron returned with another cuddling post.
In April 2022, the doting grandfather, who clearly couldn't get enough of Benicio, shared an image of himself holding the newborn while sitting on the couch. Brandon stood by and played with the child; all three were mid-smile.
In the post's caption, Ron revealed that the picture represented three generations. By November that year, the trio were back together at a Lake Como, Italy, dock surrounded by boats.
