Paula Badosa's Boyfriend Juan Betancourt & Their Relationship Moments

Tennis superstar, Paula Badosa does not have a husband yet but joked at the prospect of an engagement during an after-match interview in 2022. The message appeared to be targeted at Badosa's boyfriend, Juan Betancourt.

Juan Betancourt is a Cuban model whose stock has risen through the years. His relationship with Paula Badosa has pushed him further into the spotlight, but he does not seem to be fazed by all the attention.

Although born in New York, Badosa grew up in Spain, where her love for the sport grew. She made her debut in 2012, first appearing in the ITF before being promoted to the WTA in 2015, where she made an immediate impact by winning her first two matches. The Couple Has Been Together since 2021

Betancourt celebrated his birthday on September 22, and in 2021, he celebrated in the arms of Badosa, who wrote him a birthday message on Instagram saying, "Happy Birthday to my one and only. Let's keep growing together. I love you." Betancourt revealed his age in a funny Instagram post on the same day, saying:

"Thank you all very much for the congratulations in advance but no matter how much you insist, I am not going to reveal my age, yes, you have to have a lot of lungs to put out 31 candles."

Paula Once Talked about Getting Engaged and Later Said It Was a Joke

Badosa and Betancourt are now in their second year of dating but don't appear ready to take their relationship beyond that stage yet. However, in March 2022, Badosa talked about getting engaged in a year or so during an on-court interview.

She backtracked on her comments not so long after, saying it was just a joke. Speaking to Tennis Tonic, she commented on the situation, pointing out:

"I was just joking! Right now, I have too many things to think about. I had a text from him, and he was, like, ‘You put so much pressure on me! Now I don’t have any other option!’ Maybe in the future. I’m still young. First, I want to focus on tennis."

Juan Betancourt Seems to Have a Lot of Talents

Betancourt is a Cuban national born in the capital Havana in 1990. It is not clear where he currently resides as he spends much of his time traveling around the world due to his modeling career. He is a seasoned model and has gained massive popularity within the industry. His Instagram account has over 370k followers.

He boasts of an imposing resume, having worked for some of the world's leading brands, including Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Additionally, he has been featured in trend-setting magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair, Vogue Spain, and Esquire.

He entered the modeling world through his association with designer Tom Ford and his brand and has continued to grow. However, modeling is not his only passion in the entertainment world. He is also passionate about acting. However, his acting has so far been largely limited to advertisement videos.

The seemingly multi-talented muscular man can also be seen taking part in some practice tennis matches with his girlfriend in several countries that they visit together. Moreover, in November 2022, the Spanish magazine Summum gave him an award to celebrate his career at a ceremony where he was surrounded by his loved ones.

They Traveled Together a Lot

Although their relationship appears very stable, the same cannot be said about their place of residence. That is because the couple seems to always be on the move. They regularly share photos of themselves in various parts of the world.

In December 2021, they spent some time in the Mediterranean region of Puente Romano, Marbella. They shared intimate pictures where they looked deep into each other's eyes. Fast forward to August 2022, and the duo was snapped on the West Coast of the United States as they visited the San Francisco and San Diego areas.

A month later, the couple traveled to Japan and were pictured at the world-famous Shibuya Crossing. A few months later, they were spotted atop the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building in the United Arab Emirates. The nomadic life is not a surprise due to the nature of their professional careers.

Juan Doesn't Hesitate to Share Sweet Moments Online

The couple shares much of their life's journey with their fans, and since they started dating, they have made sure to show fans their time together occasionally. They look to have a lot of sweet moments. In July 2022, Juan shared an edited video clip of the couple's journey thus far. The caption read:

"A year ago, I met one of the best people I've ever met in my life, who became my girlfriend, my travel partner, my best friend, my paddle partner (because tennis is not yet here), who helps me finish a series in the gym, the one that accompanies me to watch cartoons at the cinema, the one that laughs at my bad jokes."

There were also photos dedicated to their 2022 Valentine's day. The lovely pictures of the couple include some they took standing in the mirror doing various things.

Betancourt conceded that his relationship with Badosa is how he envisioned love to be. The grateful model doesn't seem to be able to hide his joy after getting an excellent partner in Badosa, a star of women's tennis who has shared the court with some big-name players, including Naomi Osaka, Venus, and Serena Williams.
