Dana Paolo's Final Wishes
When she was still in stable condition, Dana wrote the compelling letter, which ultimately encoouraged her parents to make the decision to donate her organs. The letter read:
"When my body rests on a sheet, a doctor will determine that my brain has stopped working and then all the purposes and attempts will be in vain because my life will have ended. Do not call this my deathbed and allow my body to help others in their attempt to continue living."
The little girl then detailed what she wished to happen to her body once she passed. She asked for her eyes to be given to a man who has never seen, her heart to a person whose heart caused nothing but pain, and her kidneys to those who depended on dialysis to survive.
