Scotty McCreery Celebrates Son Merrick’s 4-Month Milestone with Adorable Photo

When Scotty McCreery learned he would be a father in 2022, the country singer said he had not stopped smiling all year. Since welcoming his son Avery, the first-time father shared that Avery would join him on tour following his debut during one of Scotty McCreery's concerts.

On October 24, 2022, Scott became a father for the first time when his wife, Gabi, gave birth to their son. The singer took to Instagram to announce the birth of his son and shared the intimate moments the couple shared with their newborn.

"Never known a love like this," Scott captioned the post, in part. In March, Scott's baby officially hit the four-month mark, and his proud father shared a photo of Avery in honor of hitting the milestone. "That's my boy!!" Scott shared in the caption.

Fans of the singer were able to keep up with Scotty's wife's pregnancy, as it was well-documented in the music video for his hit song, "It Matters to Her." The video captures the couple's visits to doctor's appointments and them setting up the nursery in anticipation of their baby.

Baby Merrick Avery McCreery Has Already Made His Stage Debut

After giving birth to little Avery, the son of a famous singer received his first taste of life with a musician for a dad when he made an appearance on stage during one of Scott's concerts. In January 2023, Scott announced that Avery would be joining him on his "Damn Stait" Tour and said:

"[We're] bringing a baby on the road and getting him used to the lifestyle. That will be a fun new way to do the road."

The singer shared pictures and videos of him and his son sharing the milestone during one of his shows in Knoxville, and on the big day, Scotty changed some of the lyrics to one of his songs in dedication to his son.

Scotty Has Been a Hands-on Dad to Baby Avery

After learning, he would be a father in February 2022 and following the popularity of his track "Damn Strait," Scotty shared, "I don't think I've stopped smiling all year."

While talking about his experience of fatherhood, the first-time father shared that he was so in love with his son that he did not mind the late-night crying and diaper changes. "It's like I can't even get upset. It's like, 'alright buddy, come here,'" Scotty McCreery said.
