Elizabeth Rose Cameron - Facts about James Cameron's Daughter

Renowned filmmaker James Cameron is the father of Elizabeth Rose Cameron, the youngest of the Cameron brood.

Born in 2006, she is the youngest of her parents' five combined children. She attended the same school as her two older siblings, which her parents and aunt founded to provide more quality all-round education.

Despite their busy schedules and celebrity lifestyle, James and Suzy Amis have maintained their humility and desire to help others. On one occasion, they applied to become permanent guardians of their daughter's friend.

Elizabeth Rose Was under the Spotlight as a Baby

Amid all the festive fever, James and actress Amis reportedly welcomed the last of their three children on December 29, 2006. The daughter, Elizabeth Rose, is the couple's third child and both have one child each from previous relationships.

Her older siblings, whom she shares with both parents, are Quinn, about three and a half years older, and Claire, who is around five and a half years older. On her mother's side, there is Jasper, who was 16 when she was born. Her father's daughter with "The Terminator" actress Linda Hamilton, Josephine Cameron, was 13 when she was born.

Unlike her older siblings, Elizabeth was seen in public more. From infancy, she was put in the spotlight by her parents. For example, barely three months after her birth, held by her father, she accompanied her parents to the 6th annual Oscar Celebration of New Zealand Filmmaking.

The young girl has spent much of her life living between New Zealand and Malibu, where her family generally spend their time. However, relaxing around her father is probably an arduous task, whose vacation idea is "taking the whole family to Tahiti and spending the week doing underwater photography with underwater vehicles."

Elizabeth Rose Attended the School Founded by Her Parents

Elizabeth, Quinn, and Claire attended the Muse Elementary School, formed by their parents and aunt, Rebecca Amis. The school, founded in 2006, gives out high-quality education, and its website reads that "it is a comprehensive revisualization of how an education system can function."

Like her husband's highly imaginative films, such as "Avatar" starring Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, Amis came close to doing the same at the school. The school's policy is that children are free to establish a tribal council which, among other things, celebrate the birthdays of learners and design and direct their plays.

The school's population rose from ten students and two teachers in 2006 to 45 learners and 15 full and part-time staff members in 2010. The school introduced a vegan diet, but they do not refer to it as vegan as "the average person would say." They call their diet whole food or plant-based.

One of the school's ways of teaching is giving feedback to the teachers, and their children have adopted that at home by providing some reviews on James and Amis' parenting. One of the things they noted about their father was that his parenting was sometimes very relentless Marine colonel patriarchal.

Elizabeth’s Parents Find Time to Take Care of Children Who Are Not Their Own

Aside from forming a school designed to provide quality education to children other than their own, James and Amis have also sought to impact the lives of children outside those in their school.

On October 6, 2020, it was reported that the pair had requested permanent custody of their daughter's friends. The request would enable the family to travel with the 16-year-old outside of California and even internationally.

The kids became friends and maintained it through communicating online daily and visiting each other wherever possible. From September 2019, the young girl began staying with the Camerons at their California home and attending school there. The family says she has been doing well under their care.

The new girl in the house joined a family that believes in sustainability and doing all they can to protect the planet. Those are principles that James Cameron and Amis teach their children as they want them to understand their role in taking care of the earth.
