Aaron Carter's Fiancée Melanie Martin Says Late Singer Gave Her 'Everything and More' in New Video Tribute
Aaron Carter's fiancée, Melanie Martin, hasn't forgotten the love she received from the late singer, as she frequently honors his memory with heartwarming tributes. The couple shared a son, whose custody once belonged to his grandmother and who also appears in the recent video tribute.
Melanie Martin touched many hearts in a recent update on her Tiktok and Instagram timeline. The mom of one posted a tribute to her late husband-to-be, Aaron Carter, honoring his memory. The video depicts a montage of clips from their family life when Carter still lived.
The family of three frequently went on trips together and spent quality time in their home or on dinner dates. The video inspired a comment section full of comforting messages from fans of the former child star as they witnessed how tenderly he treated his baby boy.
The song "Five More Minutes" by Scotty McCreery played in the background, as Martin captioned, "Oh my gosh i love you so much You gave me everything and more." However, it wasn't the first time she had shared such a tribute, as she honored his memory once more last Christmas, writing:
"We can no longer see you with our eyes but we can feel you in our heart forever. Love your mini-me and hunni."
Following Carter's passing, Martin received full custody of their son, Prince, after it had been given to his maternal grandmother. The couple lost guardianship of their baby after they were deemed unfit parents due to concerns regarding substance abuse and domestic violence.
Following this victory, Martin said her fiancé would've been "so proud" that she had their son back. Still, it was bittersweet, as she had hoped they would remain a family. Carter—whose brother, Nick Carter, tearfully sang for him after he died, though he had a complicated relationship with his siblings—had checked himself into rehab shortly after losing his child.
The late musician said he was doing it for Prince, as he had hopes of being a "good father" and having "lots of stability" and "happiness." Sadly, he never lived to experience those things because he was found unresponsive in his Lancaster home two months later.
His fiancée confirmed his death on the same day and requested privacy as her family dealt with the sudden "unfortunate reality." Carter was a child star, with his career beginning in the 1990s.
He released his first album at nine years old, selling over a million copies. His career skyrocketed from then, but it also came with battling substance abuse and several rehab stints.
