The couple had begun dating a few years before engaging in 2006. They had a wedding to remember with over 300 guests and a performance by rock and roll legend Iggy Pop. The special occasion was also filmed for an MTV reality show.

However, their marriage was hampered by Margera's alcoholism and infidelity. They began living separately three years into their union and divorced in 2012. Since then, Rothstein has disappeared from the public eye while Margera remarried the following year.

Missy Rothstein Worked in a Sign Shop

Rothstein was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, around 1980 or 1981. In 2007, then a slender 26-year-old, she was working in a sign shop.

Furthermore, Rothstein had already started a career as an actress in 2003 when she was involved in making the one-and-a-half-hour-long romantic comedy video "Haggard," which her future husband starred in and directed.

Afterward, she went into television and had several uncredited roles in MTV's "Viva la Bam" in 2005. That same year, she attended the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. The following year, she had another uncredited role when she appeared as herself in the documentary "Jackass Number Two," starring Johnny Knoxville.

Rothstein got further credited appearances in 2007 in "Bam's Unholy Union," a TV mini-series where she appeared as herself in nine episodes. She worked alongside her husband again in making "Minghags," a 2009 comedy also starring Margera, who doubled as one of the film's directors.

Missy Rothstein Knew Bam from Childhood

Rothstein and Margera reportedly had known each other since eighth grade but had remained friends. In the early 2000s, they were dating other people, and their partners were said to have been unhappy with them interacting with each other. In 2005, they found themselves both single again and took that opportunity.

Rothstein admitted that she became romantically interested in Margera while he was shooting "Haggard." Margera revealed that he had always had a crush on her. They soon began their love journey and realized they were a perfect match. Rothstein pointed out:

"I love his spontaneity, even though it drives me crazy sometimes. I'd be bored if he was normal like everyone else."

Rothstein and Margera went shopping at the King of Prussia Mall Cartier store in January 2006. While there, they stumbled upon a diamond ring that perfectly fit Rothstein's finger. The skateboarding extraordinaire saw it as a supernatural sign and subsequently asked his girlfriend to marry him.

After celebrating their engagement by drinking three bottles of champagne, the couple decided to head home. However, with all the excitement and intoxication, they had forgotten to put gas into the car and soon ran out. Retrospectively, that may have also been a sign of how their marriage would go.

In February 2007, about a year after their engagement, Margera and Rothstein exchanged vows. The special event occurred in downtown Philadelphia and was attended by approximately 350 guests. Besides family and friends, the wedding was also attended by an MTV crew who recorded it for a reality show.

The nuptials were later shown in the final episode of "Bam's Unholy Union." It featured a performance by rock artist Iggy Pop and an appearance by skateboarder Tony Hawk. After the wedding, the couple was off to Dubai for their honeymoon. That was before Dubai became the famous holiday destination that it is now.

Margera and Rothstein returned stateside and settled into their large, lavish house in West Chester. Huck magazine visited their home in 2008 and witnessed the remarkable decoration of their house, some of which bordered somewhere between mildly funny and highly offensive.

Furthermore, it was apparent that they had no intention of hiding the fact that they were wealthy. The yard sported some expensive items, including a skating ramp worth a whopping $120,000.

At this point, their marriage was going on well, and Margera even mentioned that there was a noticeable difference between his life before marriage and after. He said that his life had changed from being always drunk and drugged to drinking less, waking up at a reasonable time, and getting more work done during the day.

However, their marriage was not always fun-filled. In 2007, Margera told Howard Stern that the couple almost broke up after he went on a crazy bender resulting in him missing his wife's birthday. Rothstein denied that the couple almost broke up, though.

Missy Rothstein and Bam's Marriage Fell Apart

Three years into their marriage, their marital troubles finally took a toll on them, and they drifted apart. During another interview with Stern in 2010, Margera revealed that although they were still married, they were living separately. He commented on the situation, saying:

"It's strange because it's better than ever in a weird way. I see her once a week…every time we meet up, we have a lot to talk about and it's much more fun."

Margera was allegedly spotted indulging in an extramarital affair that same year at Trousdale club in Los Angeles. In plain sight, he reportedly got intimate with Kat Von D, a TLC tattoo artist. Still, his marriage to Rothstein was able to hold out until 2012, when the couple finally divorced.

Bam Margera Soon Married Again

A year after finalizing his separation from Rothstein, Margera got married again. He tied the knot with Nicole Boyd on October 5, 2013, in Iceland.

The wedding had been originally planned to hold on the same day as his September 28 birthday. He had hyped it up, saying his best man would be either Rothstein or Kat Von D, suggesting they may have stayed on friendly terms with Rothstein after the split.

Almost two decades after Margera shot to fame, his career has been on a downward spiral since the mid-2010s. Problems with alcoholism have been an ever-present element of his celebrity life.

On the other hand, Rothstein retreated from the public eye after their divorce. She has not been seen on TV and does not have any public social media platforms.
