Kate Beckinsale sparked concern among her fans after sharing that she and her cat had been hospitalized. While Beckinsale did not disclose their diagnoses, fans were quick to send well-wishes to the actress, who has had other health scares in the past.

In a recent three-image Instagram post, Beckinsale shared a picture of herself with an IV drip and that her cat had also made a visit to the vet. "Tough week or two for both of us.Thanks to everyone who has been loving us through. Prayers up for my Clive and brighter days ahead," she captioned the post.

Although the actress did not disclose the cause of her and her fury friend's trip to the hospital, fans showered Beckinsale with well-wishes in the comments section. "Sending you prayers and much love to both of you. Clive is strong and will get through this no matter what. + I believe everything will be alright," one person wrote.

Another fan noted that Beckinsale's IV had been "poorly executed," to which the actress responded, "Ran out of veins that didn't get infiltrated or blew. No one's fault." A third fan commented, "Hoping is a speedy recovery, and he's back home with you soon (sic)..." The third fan's well wishes came true, as a few hours later, Beckinsale took to her Instagram story to share a snap of her and her adorable cut snuggled up.

The actress has also had health scares in the past. In 2019, Beckinsale was hospitalized for a ruptured ovarian cyst and turned to Instagram to thank those that were taking care of her. In 2021, while the actress was in Nevada filming "Prisoner's Daughter," she injured her back on a Friday morning.

The actress was later rushed to the emergency room around 10:30 a.m. by an ambulance and posted a selfie of herself with an IV drip. "Feeling a lot better. Thank you so much for your kind messages and love," she captioned the post.

Beckinsale's cat, Clive, has also had health problems, as the actress revealed he is a cancer survivor. After the mother of one welcomed Clive into her family when her daughter was still a little girl, Beckinsale "inherited" her other cat Willow from a family friend.

The "Underworld" star grew up with cats and a big dog, but when it came to the age-old debate about cats versus dogs, Beckinsale stood firmly in her stance. "I'm very much a cat person. Cats are easier than dogs," she said.
