'How Thankful I Am': Lily Collins Wishes Her Mom a Happy Birthday

Lily Collins, the daughter of famous musician Phil Collins and his ex-wife, Jill Tavelman, recently shared a fantastic flashback with her mother, celebrating her birthday and Easter. The actress has made it a common practice to wish her mother on her birthday.

Lily Collins recently shared a touching post on Instagram celebrating two auspicious occasions with one picture. The actress posted a throwback picture from her wedding day, where she was seen leaning on her mother's shoulder as she balances a bouquet in one hand.

Lily looked beautiful in her white dress, and so did her mother in a turquoise outfit. The post was in celebration of the actress's mother's birthday and celebration of Easter. Two days after it was published, the post had already amassed nearly one and a half million likes.

Lily wished her mother, Jill Tavelman, a happy birthday and Easter in the caption. She mentioned feeling more grateful for her mother and their shared memories, laughter, adventures, and life lessons. Lily also said she is excited about all that will come up in their future.

She continued, "I'm so happy I get to celebrate with you in person. No matter what beautiful changes and new experiences life brings, some things remain the same like how thankful I am you're my mom. I love you so much."

The actress wishes her mother a happy birthday every year. In April 2021, she posted a selfie with her mom and wrote a touching caption, similar to this year's tribute. In April 2022, Lily shared a picture of herself as a toddler in her mother's embrace.

Lily was born in England in March 1989 to her father, Phil Collins, and mother, Jill. Part of the history of their relationship was a divorce in 1994 that weighed heavy on Lily's parents and her young life. At the time, Lily was just five years old, and her parents' divorce took two years to materialize.

Lily's acting career began in 1999 when she was cast as the voice of Baby Ape in the animation, "Tarzan." She then starred in "Priest" in 2011 with Jennifer Connolly's husband, Paul Bettany, and in "Abduction" within the same year with "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner.

Lily then starred as Snow White in the 2012 Disney tale "Mirror Mirror" with Julia Roberts and put together a solid run of major roles before she landed the role of Emily Cooper in "Emily in Paris." At the moment, Lily is cast as an actor in four upcoming films, which are all in pre-production.
