Andy welcomed his second child in April 2022, and like her older brother Benjamin Cohen, Lucy was born through Surrogacy. He announced the birth of his daughter on Instagram sharing a photo of himself cradling the newborn with the brightest smile on his face.
Fellow father-of-two, Anderson Cooper, wished Andy was well upon the extension of his family in the comments on his post. The talk show host revealed that his daughter arrived weighing 8 pounds and 13 ounces at 17:13 in a New York City hospital.
He added that his brother was excited about her arrival and thanked his surrogate and everyone involved in the success of Lucy's arrival. For Andy, all surrogates are rock stars!
Andy became a parent for the first time, aged 50, when he welcomed Benjamin on February 4, 2019. Unlike his younger sister, Benjamin was born in Los Angeles and was named after his grandfather, Benjamin Allen.
The TV host revealed that he was responsible for cutting Benjamin's umbilical cord upon delivery and continued describing the child's first two hours of life as surreal.
Andy shared pictures of his son early in his life but began to limit the publishing of Benjamin's face as time progressed. This parental decision caused much confusion among his supporters.
