Owen, who has been acting for over two decades alongside some of Hollywood's best talents, including frequent collaborators Jackie Chan, and Vince Vaughn, found the funny side of the issue about his nose. He jokingly said, "My nose wouldn't have been that great even if it hadn't been broken."

Wilson explained to the LA Times in December 2001 that his nose had been broken twice up to that point. On one occasion, he was involved in a scuffle in high school; the other time, he was playing football with friends. It seems a young Owen was troublesome, expelled from prep school, and sent to military school.

In 2022, Owen took on the WIRED Autocomplete Interview, where celebrities answer questions most searched about them. The questions for Wilson included how many movies he is in with Stiller, whether he is in every Wes Anderson film, and whether he is a good skateboarder.

Apparently, questions about his nose also come up quite a lot on Google. During this segment, he reiterated that his nose had been broken at the University of Texas while playing intermural flag football and got banged. Additionally, the roughhousing he did as a kid was also a contributing factor.

Some other exciting things about Owen that came out of the interview were how he got into acting. According to Owen, he became friends and roommates with Wes Anderson while enrolled at the University of Texas. The pair started writing a screenplay that became the movie "Bottle Rocket."

Off the top of his head, Wilson mentioned nine movies he and Ben Stiller featured together, although they are actually 12 so far, with films such as "Starsky & Hutch" and "Permanent Midnight," their first movie together. Owen attributed the high number of collaborations to the projects having sequels.

Another detail revealed from the questions is that some people thought Owen Wilson was Australian. The actor responded by hilariously saying "Good day" in a pretty good Australian accent. Still, he attributes the confusion to subtle similarities and slight overlap between Texans and Australians.

He admitted he was aware many fans thought him an excellent skateboarder because of a Spike Jonze-directed video of him skateboarding. In the clip, Owen seemed to do a trick that people were impressed with.

About his time on Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Loki," a different genre from what he has been accustomed to, Owen said he had enjoyed his time on the show alongside Tom Hiddleston and was looking forward to appearing in more seasons. Additionally, some fans were curious about who is older – him or his brother Luke Wilson.
