Katie Couric All Smiles at 66 Posing with Tulips Wearing Printed Shirt & Denim Jacket in Snaps
Katie Couric's daughters were AWOL for their annual Park Avenue tulip photo over the weekend with their mother, but her second husband was by no means a "sad stand-in."
From behind her round metal RayBans, Katie Couric posed alone beside the purple tulips and cherry tree in bloom in her Instagram Stories.
Though she missed her adult children, she contended that her husband, John Molner, looked "pretty cute" against the floral backdrop in an April 17, 2023, post.
John Molner was not so convinced in the comments, "This is a SAD stand-in for the adorable Monahan girls, but they will be back next year, I'm sure!"
He was in a red "pandemic shirt" printed with "Stay calm, Say cool, Stay home." Couric wore a graphic button-down shirt under her washed-out jean jacket and white slacks.

Katie Couric Felt "Liberated and Vulnerable" in Makeup-Free Spread
When PEOPLE asked Couric to do a shoot without makeup for their Beautiful issue in 2021, her knee-jerk reaction was, "Hell no," but eventually came around. After taking the photos, she said that she felt great being bare-faced because she was being true to herself:
"Doing a shoot without makeup makes you feel both liberated and vulnerable."
For the journalist, wrinkles show a "lifetime of laughing and smiling." She described her relationship with cosmetics in her mid-60s as "interesting," as wearing too much can be even more "aging," and finds it "terrifying" to go fresh-faced.

In her sixties, "The Brand New Kid" author began to scale down her makeup to only the essentials. A "go-to" item in her beauty box is her drugstore mascara, as her light lashes tend to "disappear."
During her frolic in the flowers of Park Avenue this weekend, Couric showed that she is keeping to her stance on cosmetics from two years ago, with no lipstick adorning her broad smile.

First for Women magazine shared the "Jeopardy!" guest host's "totally doable" and fun tips for self-care in August 2019. She tries to start every morning with a stretch and does her best to fit in more strenuous exercise three to four times a week.
She is a "big believer" in spending time in nature, even seeing the value in chillier days. "Cooler mornings are great for taking long walks. It just gets you up and going when the weather turns," she said. Another great love in Katie Couric's life is lavender; she loves the relaxing effects and smell of lavender products.
