Stella Gregg Is "Proud" of Her Mom, but Not "Dirty Dancing"

Stella Francis Gregg is the only child of Jennifer and Clark Gregg, who divorced after 19 years of marriage. Her love for her parents possibly made her less receptive to her mother's biggest hit, "Dirty Dancing."

She appeared opposite him again for an episode of his Marvel series.

Jennifer Grey told Entertainment Weekly in August 2022 that her child did not like her classic romantic comedy opposite Patrick Swayze as it "bugged her" to see her mom dance with anyone other than Clark.

It meant a lot for the "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" star that Stella read her memoir, "Out Of The Corner." She considers the book as an "owner's manual" for her daughter to see where she came from. Jennifer continued:

"For her to read it and get it, and then she would quote things back to me that were helpful to her — I said, 'You read it?' And she goes, 'Mom, I'm so proud of you.'"
