Russ Armstrong Is Greta Lee's Writer Husband and the Father of Her Two Kids
Russ Armstrong, Greta Lee's husband, and the actress have celebrated nearly ten years of marriage after meeting at university. While his wife has little social media presence, Russ Armstrong often takes to Instagram to share glimpses of his and Greta Lee's children.
Originally from Los Angeles, Lee recalled growing up in a neighborhood she hated and aspired to leave her hometown behind and pursue her dreams of becoming an actress. And over the years, those dreams became a reality, as she is commonly known for her roles in "The Morning Show," "Russian Doll," and "The Good Fight."
In an upcoming project, Lee and her co-star Teo Yoo play childhood friends and love interests reunited many years later. However, off-camera, the co-star in Lee's real-life love story has been Armstrong, with whom she has welcomed two sons.

Greta Lee Is Married — Get To Know Her Husband Russ Armstrong, Who Is Also in the Industry
Armstrong has been a writer, producer, and actor for many years. He played Jed in "30 Rock"— co-starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin— in 2012 before landing a role in the series "Master of None" in 2015.
In March of that same year, Armstrong shared one of the first pictures of Lee, whom he referred to as his wife, on his Instagram account, which had amassed nearly 2,000 followers at the time of writing.
From 2016 to 2017, Armstrong produced 13 episodes of "The Daily Show," which was later taken over by Trevor Noah. His more recent credits include producing three episodes of "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj" in 2020.
Greta Lee Doesn't Share Much About Her Marriage to Russ Armstrong
Unlike her husband, Lee is inactive on social media and only shares glimpses of her personal life during interviews. The actress—whose acting career dates back to 2006— grew up singing and dancing, which led to her studying Musical Theatre at Northwestern University in Chicago.
It is also where she met Armstrong, who teased that the couple has been together since President Obama's first term when he posted a throwback of him and Lee at a Halloween party. "We're gonna raise a kid together," Armstrong captioned the post, days before their first child was born.
During an interview a few years into marriage, Lee revealed that while she and Armstrong are happily married, they attend couple's therapy for "maintenance." After becoming parents, Armstrong and his wife relocated 30 minutes away from where she grew up, and vowed never to return, with their kids for a quieter life after over ten years of living in New York.
However, the transition from the hustle and bustle of The Big Apple to the calm of a Los Angeles suburb took some getting used to for Lee, who said:
"The thing that's crazy about us people is what happens when you don't have that battle anymore. Living in New York, feeling like it's life or death daily, to now just this, it can really make you bananas."
Greta Lee and Russ Armstrong Have Two Adorable Sons
Alongside her career, which includes an upcoming film, Lee is also a mom. In August 2016, Armstrong took to Instagram to announce the birth of their first child and shared, "Greta and I are excited to announce the birth of our son, Apollo Joosung Armstrong. He was born on Korean Liberation Day, August 15, 2016, at 12:30 p.m., 8 lbs 10 ounces and 48.5 cm, healthy and screaming. Love this guy."
In November 2016, Armstrong shared an adorable throwback of Apollo from his first Halloween as an eagle, and his mom gushed, "He's a very exuberant, chatty fellow." In April 2018, Armstrong shared another photo of the family of three wearing beaming smiles as they posed for the camera outdoors.
While speaking about her son, the actress humorously revealed she only got nervous when she had to tell him to turn off the iPad and that he got a kick out of people approaching his mom in the street and turning one of her famous lines into a meme.
Three years later, their second son, Raphael Joobaek Armstrong, was born, and Armstrong documented their farm trip in New York with their families before their move. When Lee was asked what she was most proud of, she replied, "My life with my family."
