Joseph Fiennes drew his first breath in Wiltshire, England, as one of six siblings, on May 27, 1970. His parents led artistic careers, with his mother working as a novelist and his father as a photographer.

He and four of his siblings followed in those footsteps, leaving indelible marks in the industry. His likely most well-known sibling is actor Ralph Fiennes, known for his roles in "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "Coriolanus."

His sister, Sophie Fiennes, is a producer, his brother, Magnus Fiennes, is a musician, and his other sister, Martha Fiennes, is a director. Like his brothers and sisters, Joseph has made a name for himself.

His career began onstage, a platform he remained committed to after debuting onscreen in the mid-1990s. He was renowned for his 1998 performance in the historical comedy-drama, "Shakespeare in Love," portraying the late bard himself.

That year, he also appeared in "Elizabeth," co-starring Cate Blanchett and Daniel Craig. Joseph's recent roles were in "The Mother" with Jennifer Lopez and in the gritty series "The Handmaid's Tale," opposite Elizabeth Moss.

The relationship was to remain private, but Naomi's former personal assistant, Vanessa Frisbee, divulged personal information about her brief romance with Joseph to a tabloid for a price.

The longtime model sued Vanessa, who had acted in breach of a non-disclosure agreement she had signed when she was employed. Despite the incident involving the court, Joseph never commented on the situation.
