Since graduating from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Musical Theatre and minors in Musical Theatre Composition and American Culture, Shen made her solo show debut in 2023.

Her debut was a live performance featuring various pop songs, musical theatre tunes, and original tracks. The show paid homage to Shen's American-Chinese culture and included appearances from Feldman and Hannah Corneau from "Wicked."
