Hasan Minhaj's Wife Beena Patel Is Super Successful in Her Own Right
Hasan Minhaj joined the entertainment industry as a college student after watching videos of a fellow comedian and has been on a winning streak ever since. Alongside a rewarding career, the California native is a loving husband to Dr. Beena Patel, and the two are doting parents in a beautiful family of four.
Hasan Minhaj drew his first breath in Davis on September 23, 1985. The 37-year-old grew up in the Californian city, and after graduating high school, enrolled at the University of California Davis to study political science. During that time, he watched videos of fellow actor Chris Rock's comedy specials.
They inspired Minhaj to pursue the craft, and some years down the line, he transitioned to acting, writing, producing, and hosting. When news broke that he would host 2017's White House Correspondents dinner, fans and media grew more curious about the special people in his life.

Although Minhaj has kept his family life relatively private and guarded his children against the spotlight, he has allowed the world glimpses into the most precious moments. And while his career speaks for itself, he's not the only one in his family making power moves.

It's unclear when their romance began, but Minhaj and Patel married on January 2, 2015. During a 2016 interview, Minhaj said he and Patel kept things "very traditional" and only moved in together after tying the knot. Although he didn't say it directly, he hinted that Patel's presence garnered an appreciation for throw pillows and scented candles.
The two frequently travel the world together; they vacationed in Cairo just last month. In January, the comedian took to Instagram to celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary. Last December, he celebrated Patel's success, calling her an "icon," after Jhpiego honored her with the Visionary Award for her work at Vituity Cares.
Minhaj pulled another romantic gesture in 2020 when he gifted his wife a custom-designed ring shortly before giving birth to their second child. "I couldn’t wait to surprise her," the actor gushed. He said the diamond-crest band, created with their life story in mind, would be an heirloom to pass down to his children.
