Although Richards and Harrington didn't share much about their relationship, they often posted about each other on social media. In one of his posts, the actor revealed he first crossed paths with Richards on Memorial Day in 2010.

The couple appeared in public events in the following years, including the Los Angeles Film Festival 2013. In 2014, Harrington briefly mentioned Richards in an interview, calling her his girlfriend and the last person to message him.

Monica Richards became Jay Harrington's wife in August 2016 in what appeared to be a magical wedding, and actor Taye Diggs also took to Twitter to celebrate them.

Harrington celebrated their anniversaries throughout their marriage, including a 2018 Instagram tribute with snippets of their outdoor wedding. He wrote:

The Couple Were Married for Three Years

Richards chose a different career from her husband. After studying Physical and Biological Anthropology at the University of Michigan and graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in Interior Design, she founded the brand EcoBabe, a consultancy and collective for all things sustainable.

Besides being the founder and owner, Harrington's wife was also an educator, workshop instructor, product designer, sustainability consultant, writer, editor, media host, and creative host in her company.

In 2017, Harrington supported Richards in her business endeavor with an Instagram post. In the caption, he revealed that she had been working on the brand for months and finally launched it in time for the holidays.

The actor has also received support in his career from his then-wife. He once revealed that she jokingly told him he resembled his character, Deacon, from "S.W.A.T." because of their similar traits.

Harrington plays the role of Sergeant II David "Deacon" Kay in the series and stars alongside others, including Shemar Moore, Alex Russell, David Lim, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson, and more.

Although unofficial, Richards stopped being Harrington's wife in October 2019, when she filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Courts for reasons undisclosed.

Although their divorce is not finalized, Harrington has fallen in love with another woman. He is dating Kierstan Saulter, and she previously posted about their relationship, celebrating their first anniversary as a couple in March 2022.

She is a social media influencer, coordinator, and college student and appeared on the second season of "Love Island USA." She is studying to become an aesthetic nurse while pursuing a career as a digital creator and influencer.
