Amidst his fame in the industry, the artist, who has encountered numerous legal troubles, stated that he does not want his kids to view going to jail as cool or acceptable.

Young Thug's statement appeared to be a reflection of his difficult upbringing. He revealed that he is the youngest of eleven siblings, grew up in a low-income neighborhood in South Atlanta, and was also a high school dropout.

Young Thug Said Broke Men Should Not Have Kids

The artist voiced his belief that men lacking financial resources should not become fathers. He argued for "new rules," suggesting that financially broke men should abstain from having children.

According to him, having children while living in poverty leads to the birth of kids in impoverished conditions, ultimately contributing to a cycle of struggle. This cycle can drive some individuals to resort to robbery, violence, and theft due to a lack of stable careers or prospects.

Young Thug's statement elicited mixed reactions from the public, including rapper Boosie, who disagreed with his statement in 2022. Boosie explained that not everyone is fortunate enough to possess certain qualities or advantages.
