Young Thug's Kids Keep a Low Profile

Young Thug became a father at 17. By his early 20s, he had become a dad of six: three boys and three girls. Despite never revealing his kids' names, he shared on Twitter that he has dedicated rooms for each of them in his home. The tweet read:

"Oh and I forgot, I got a mansion with 12 empty bedrooms waiting for them. I refuse to come on Cleveland ave, that's called backtracking."

As of 2015, the rapper seemed to have encountered legal problems concerning the custody of his kids. In a tweet, he expressed his desire to be able to see them every day if their mothers gave him custody.

Nevertheless, he remains devoted to meeting his financial responsibilities by faithfully making the child support payments he willingly agreed upon. Young Thug's kids also enjoy meaningful moments with their father in some ways.

Young Thug voiced his belief that men lacking financial resources should not become fathers.

On one occasion, he had one of them in his home, where they shared pizza and cake while he continued working on his music. The rapper shares his kids with four women, including LaKevia Jackson, who tragically died in 2022.

Young Thug Opened up about Parenthood

The rapper opened up about his experience with parenthood, and he didn't hold back in expressing how it has been the most challenging and demanding part of his life. He admitted that being a parent is far from easy.

At times, he wondered if he would return on that decision. He also shared that becoming a parent means changing how you do things, as the old habits and routines no longer fit into the picture.

Amidst his fame in the industry, the artist, who has encountered numerous legal troubles, stated that he does not want his kids to view going to jail as cool or acceptable.

Young Thug's statement appeared to be a reflection of his difficult upbringing. He revealed that he is the youngest of eleven siblings, grew up in a low-income neighborhood in South Atlanta, and was also a high school dropout.

Young Thug Said Broke Men Should Not Have Kids

The artist voiced his belief that men lacking financial resources should not become fathers. He argued for "new rules," suggesting that financially broke men should abstain from having children.

According to him, having children while living in poverty leads to the birth of kids in impoverished conditions, ultimately contributing to a cycle of struggle. This cycle can drive some individuals to resort to robbery, violence, and theft due to a lack of stable careers or prospects.

Young Thug's statement elicited mixed reactions from the public, including rapper Boosie, who disagreed with his statement in 2022. Boosie explained that not everyone is fortunate enough to possess certain qualities or advantages.

However, Boosie emphasized the importance of accepting and loving individuals despite their shortcomings. He also noted that love holds more significant value than material wealth.

Young Thug is one of the many celebrity fathers who has openly discussed fatherhood's joys and challenges. He, along with Chris Hemsworth, Snoop Dogg, Dwayne Johnson, Eddie Murphy, and Bruce Willis, shed light on the realities of being a dad.
