Jenna Fischer Gives an Update on Her Shoulder 3 Months after Breaking It
Jenna Fischer recently updated her fans regarding her broken shoulder. While there is progress in her recovery, it will take a few months for the actress to return to normal.
Jenna Fischer had fans worried when she broke her shoulder a few months ago. However, the American actress is doing well and recently gave her fans a health update.
In her post, Fischer revealed that she has about six months more of rehab sessions before she can tie her hair in a ponytail. However, she knows that slow progress is still progress.
She has yet to be able to lift her arm high enough to do personal tasks, sleep appropriately on a bed, and more. Since her injury, Fischer has been sleeping on a recliner. However, she also had good news for her fans. She said:
"I graduated to bands today in therapy; my fracture is healed. I can hold a full cup of coffee in my right hand again."
Fischer broke her shoulder in April 2023 and needed physical therapy to heal. Fortunately, she had already recorded some episodes of "Office Ladies" by then, as noted in her Instagram post. Despite an injury, Fischer continued to live as normally as possible.
In June, she went on vacation and took a selfie while on the plane. "Time to take this broken shoulder on vacation," she said.
This wasn't the first time Fischer had an injury. In 2007, the actress met another accident while attending an event in New York City. She slipped on a marble staircase and fractured four lower back bones. Fortunately, there was no severe spinal injury.
At that time, Fischer recovered at St. Vincent's hospital, where her husband, Lee Kirk, and a few friends, including Ellie Kemper, visited. Due to her injury, Fischer had to cancel press conferences and other activities and instead focus on recovering.
Born on March 7, 1974, Fischer is an actress known for her character, Pam Beesly, on "The Office." Her performance on the show led to an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards.
Besides "The Office," she has appeared in "The Giant Mechanical Man," "Slither," and "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," among many others. Fischer is also an author and the brain behind the books "The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide" and "Office BFFs: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There."
Beyond her career, Fischer is happily married to her husband of 13 years. They are parents to Weston Lee Kirk and Harper Marie Kirk, born in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
