Ricochet's Future Wife: His Fiancée, Samantha Irvin, Is a WWE Ring Announcer

Ricochet's soon-to-be-wife, Samantha Irvin, is a classically trained performer who turned her dreams of being on the stage into a successful career as a ring announcer. The couple took to Instagram in January 2023 to announce their engagement, which followed their unusual first date.

Ricochet has made a name for himself as a talented wrestler and is also commonly known for his relationship with his fiancée, Samantha Irvin. And while the couple didn't meet throughout their careers in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), they have become somewhat of a wrestling power couple with a few viral moments.

Growing up, Samantha Irvin had musical aspirations and even made it to the semifinals of a popular television talent show. However, she later set her sights on being an announcer and has managed to juggle motherhood and her career.

Lilian Garcia Inspired Samantha Irvin's Career as a Ring Announcer

Growing up, Irvin, a classically trained flutist, had musical aspirations and spent her early adult years in the theatre world and performing in cabaret. And before her powerful voice landed her the gig of a ring announcer for WWE, her talents left "America's Got Talent" judges blown away.

In 2015, the Massachusetts native auditioned for the competition series and left judges Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Mel B of the Spice Girls impressed with her covers of "Earned It" by The Weeknd and "Lay Me Down" by Sam Smith.

"It was my first time performing live television in America; it was crazy," she said. And even though her journey ended during the semifinals, it was great practice for Irvin, who has proven she is a natural in front of a crowd as a ring announcer.

During an interview, she revealed that she drew great inspiration from the ring announcer and singer Lilian Garcia, who Irvin had been watching perform since she was in the seventh grade. She said:

"She was the first person that made me realize, 'Oh, there can be singing in wrestling.' [...] I love Lilian, and I always used to joke to my friends, 'You know, one day [I'm going to be] Lilian Garcia.'"

Ricochet and Samantha Irvin's Relationship Timeline

During an interview, Ricochet revealed that he and Irvin began talking over Twitter and finally met in Las Vegas, where she performed. However, their out-of-the-norm first date included a four-hour-long road trip to the Grand Canyon and a "real first date" at Cracker Barrel.

"From day one, it's been, like, I don't know... perfect," he shared. In November 2021, Irvin and her fiancé took to Twitter to make their relationship social media official when she shared a mirror selfie of the happy couple.

And in January 2023, Ricochet — previously in a relationship with female professional wrestler Katana Chance — confirmed Irvin to be his future wife after he posted pictures of their engagement, including snaps of her engagement ring, him on one knee, and them kissing.

In December 2022, a video of Irvin and Ricochet went viral, as she was filmed getting up to give the wrestler a kiss mid-fight. And recently, the couple went viral again as social media users commented on a video of her overcome with emotion as her future husband lost a fight to Logan Paul.

"[...] She looked like she was holding back those tears," one person commented, and another shared, "SHE PLAYED HER ROLE TO THE FULLEST!! HATS OFF TO HER!!" A third social media user wrote, "She deserves more screen time. Amazing acting."

Samantha Irvin Is a Proud Mother to Her Daughter

In 2019, Irvin shared a muted clip of her singing "Midnight Train To Georgia" during rehearsal for a show in Las Vegas with her young daughter in her lap. And on May 13, 2023, the ring announcer shared three photos of her and her daughter wearing smiles as they posed for the camera.

On May 19, 2023, she was one proud mom who shared an adorable video of her daughter passionately singing along while at a wrestling match. Ricochet's soon-to-be-wife humorously captioned the video, "More solid proof than a DNA test 😭😭 #thatsmydaughter."
