Jessie Buckley's husband has yet to be cast in real life, and in most of her acting parts, she portrayed unmarried women. However, the actress has been in a public relationship as she had one high-profile relationship with a co-star from "War and Peace."

New fans of Jessie Buckley might be surprised to learn that the Irish star's first taste of the limelight came from a stint on a reality show. These days, the Oscar-nominated classical actress does not even have a social media presence.

She expressed her admiration for a former actor beau not long before they reportedly split, and she has been more private about her love life since. The RADA grad left London for life in the country after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Being cast in BBC's "War and Peace" led to the actress having panic attacks two months before filming. "But it ended up being the happiest, most fun job," she said. Her onscreen family, played by Jim Broadbent and James Norton, were regular dinner companions.

After the meal, they would spend their evenings playing Bananagrams, a Scrabble-like game. She dated Norton, who portrayed her character's brother in the mini-series between 2015 and 2017. "He's a brilliant actor," Buckley said of Norton in September 2017.

"Having friends and family around you that you trust is the most important thing in this industry," she added. Norton was nominated for a BAFTA for "Happy Valley" and acted in films like "Flatliners" with Elliot Page and Greta Gerwig's "Little Women."

She explained, "it's a tough job to have a relationship, and he is a great man, and we are great friends. That's it!" Buckley further shared that one of her 2018 resolutions was to "love the right love" in work, love, and friendships.

"My boyfriend read the script one day, and he's like: you're leaving me in this house," Buckley revealed while promoting 2022's "Men," in which she stars with Rory Kinnear and Paapa Essiedu.

"Some of the walls have the original paint, pig's blood mixed with lime, I think," she said in 2021 after purchasing it. "And there are marks all over the walls, from when people in the 17th century were told to write Ws above the fireplaces to stop witches coming down the chimneys."

The harsh reality of the pandemic made her rethink her love for London, "I realized I was almost addicted to the city, consumed by it, constantly in a race with it." She found her "mad old house" in the country to have "character and soul."

After sharing the anecdote about her boyfriend being weary of being alone in the property in June 2022, she admitted that some offbeat features of her home are a "back light goes on and off on its own accord" and "weird plinths in the garden."
